Did not know that, someone showed me this article, and I looked at his credentials at the bottom of the page and though sounds legit, Looked his name up on Google and it mentioned his past of bizarre Conspiracies.
Noted military analyst and retired U.S. Army Col. Douglas MacGregor said in an interview posted online this week that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin has already won the war in Ukraine in an assessment that diffe...
Douglas Macgregor has become a pro-Russian stooge and mouthpiece. He’s the worst of the appeasers and apologists. He has lost 100% credibility. Makes you wonder if he’s just a useful idiot or if he’s a Russian asset.
In 2014, he went on RT to say that Russia has every right to annex Crimea and Donbas. This year, he went on Fox news to say that Russia should be able to take whatever part of Ukraine that Putin wants and that Russia was too soft on Ukrainians.
“So the war, for all intents and purposes, has been decided,” he continued. “The issue for the Russians, from the very beginning, has been, ‘How do we proceed without killing large numbers of civilians and inflicting a lot of property damage. And [Russian President Vladimir] Putin gave very strict orders from the outset that [his forces] were to avoid such things.
Does this sound remotely accurate to you?
Putin has the same playbook for every invasion. Sit back, target, and kill civilians. I womder who's payroll this guy is on?
Russians are being pushed out of Kiev as the continue to struggle with Mariupol -- a city they've had encircled since basically day 1. This is truly astounding military incompetence. They simply cannot achieve any of their aims.
Let’s see what the Russians military members themselves are saying.
“We can definitively say that nothing is going to plan,” said Pavel Luzin, a Russian military analyst. “It has been decades since the Soviet and Russian armies have seen such great losses in such a short period of time.” “The war has shown that the army fights poorly,” Mr. Luzin said. “The defense minister is responsible for this.”
Igor Girkin, a former colonel in Russia’s F.S.B. intelligence agency and the former “defense minister” of Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine, said in a video interview posted online on Monday that Russia had made a “catastrophically incorrect assessment” of Ukraine’s forces.
1) Russians "pushed out of Kiev." They never even entered Kiev and aren't planning to any time soon.
2) Mariupol was encircled "basically since Day 1." Not even close. Shows complete disconnection from facts.
3) "sit back, target and kill civilians" is the Russian playbook. If so, Mariupol would have been carpet-bombed to ruins like the US did to Raqqa in Syria.

No the top delusional belief of the pro-Putin crowd on here is that everything is going as planned.

So losing 10k soliders in 3 weeks was the plan for Russia? LOL cope harder 2600

Nothing beats the delusions that (1) Russia would not even attack Ukraine, (2) Russia would only invade Donbas, and (3) Russia would defeat Ukraine in a matter of days -- all delusions that you posted at one time or another, Bad Wiglet. Your delusion number (1) above came from your bizarre desire to believe everything out of the mouth of your hero Vladimir Putin. See what happens when you worship scumbags like Putin? They humiliate you in the end, and leave you holding a bag of fish.

I don't know if Bad Wiggins made that prediction three plus weeks ago, but if he did, that was before Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and McConnell gave President Zelenskyy and Ukraine thousands of rounds of ammunition, hundreds of javelins, hundreds of stingers and hundreds of AT-4s. Not enough weapontry for Operation Barbarossa 2 but enough weapons to allow President Zelenskyy to lose slowly. Why do many on this site believe it is patriotic for U.S. citizens to support the comedian/clown President Zelenskyy?

Russia will never rule these people and if you are paying attention how are you missing that? And nobody is cool with some thug killing women and children, it's more about that than helping out Zelenskyy and that should also be very obvious.
Yes Putin can totally level Ukraine but his goal was to rule these people since that will never happen he will lose this. Ukraine can rebuild and it will.

I think you have posted those exact words to me previously.
A poster claimed Bad Wiggins made a poor prediction. I stated facts have changed since February.
Do you feel better each time you tell me Putin/Russia will not win?
Trump's Campaign chair and Russian asset/convicted felon (Paul Manafort) just tried to high tail it to Dubai but was denied flight. Dubai is a hot safe haven for Russian Mobsters to escape during this war. (along with Israel)
We might see more of the GOP Russian Assets and Trump's inner circle try to escape the heat as Western pressure comes down upon those deep in Russian mob money. Feds are going after the money launderers too.

You have it backwards, Cold. The question is: Why do a loud few on this site, including you, believe they aren't giving aid and comfort to America's enemy, when they support and apologize for America's enemy at every opportunity? Basically, why do you hate America?
When you understand those questions, and can form a truthful answer, you may have made a breakthrough in your life.
1. Bad Wigins isn't just LRC's worst forecaster (2600 times over), but he's pro-Russia, which, in retrospect, explains almost everything he's blathered on about since he's been around on here.
Nothing else, that's all I've learned so far. Carry on...
I am starting to realize that the loud contingent of Putin mouthpieces on LRC is actually much smaller and significantly less influential than I'd thought. This new upvote/downvote function has proven itself useful in that respect. Just a small group of angry young men yelling at the internet incessantly, annoying the rest of us but moving nobody.

B.W. didn't predict that Russia would defeat Ukraine in days, but he did draw comparisons to the second US invasion of Iraq, implying that it would take about three weeks for Kyiv to fall (about the same time that it took the US to capture Baghdad).
However, note that in the year prior to Putin's invasion, the US had already given $650 million of military assistance to Ukraine, and for years had provided considerable "intangible" support in terms of military training provided through the US National Guard. Ukraine's success may have surprised a lot of people, but it reflects favorably on Ukraine's longtime relationship with the US military, going back to the 1990's.
For information about US military support over the previous year, see for instance
The aid, which includes ammunition, is part of a $200 million package that President Biden approved in December and is meant for Ukraine's front-line defenders should Russia choose to invade.
For information about longtime US National Guard involvement, see this article, which looks at the California National Guard's relationship with Ukraine, although I know that Florida NG has had a similar ongoing relation.
