Good for you man. Love this type of runs.
Well, I got a late start on my run today. Therefore, I had to resort to the treadmill at my gym. Yes, it was a glorious morning and I could have run outdoors but instead today, I had to run on the treadmill to save time. Here is my description...
I picked the best treadmill in the gym because I am use to it and for some reason, it seems to know m well...
I set my drink to one side and towel to the other. I turn my iPod music on and the first song comes on...."Something about you" by Justin Timberlake. Instantly, my juices/energy start to flow and I want to break out in dance/tempo or a fast pace...but instead, I decide to let my legs, arms take the lead...then my breathing...
Wow, I feel like a kid or at least 10 years younger than I am right now. I allow the treadmill underneath me take over while my feet hit/land on the belt as each step takes place. I notice at this time, my heart beat is picking up--my skin warming all over. I see the time and pace on the dashboard go by and eventually I get into a "groove"...
By this time, I am "dancing or going to the beat/pace" and losing myself to the rhythm of my music and the miles "click by"....
Then all of sudden, I feel a single drop/or more of sweat to my forehead down to the edge of my eye lid and feel the "sting of the salt" in my eye. I wipe it quickly and continue because I am in a good groove....
Miles continue to click by....and by now, I feel like my whole body is overheating and 'dripping" the access water/salt out of every pore of my body...but for some reason, I am loving this feeling--schwetting, cleansing the fluid/toxin out of my body while exerting myself into oblivion...
Ahhh....gotta love the artificial running!
