This is why we aren't seeing huge surges/3rd waves of reinfection in India. Because natural immunity is protective and in some cases more protective than the crappy shots. Measures of titers and binding strength for the whole spike protein are superior in convalescents. Not to mention the whole-virus immunity conferred by natural infection not just to the spike protein but also other proteins (E, M, N, RdRP).
Take a look at the ranges of levels in the vaccinated versus the convalescents: "Anti-SP IgG antibody levels for the convalescent plasma population ranged from 33.1 μg/ml to 1.6 mg/ml, while the corresponding values for the post-vaccination plasma population ranged from 4.9 μg/ml to 1.5 mg/ml".
My covid sniffles are more protective than your crappy mRNA shot.
4 million excess deaths later and you’re cheering India?
Also interesting how the guy who yells that antibody levels are NEVER a good proxy for immune protection is now making claims based purely on antibody levels.
I appreciate your attempts to engage with the scientific process but it’s clear you lack the relevant education to make consistent and coherent statements.

Dude, it has been clear the whole time that your understanding of science is limited. No need to pretend like you know more than anyone else here. You don't, by a long shot.

I was right about COVID and the pandemic of the unvaccinated. :)

Not really, self confirmation of being right is not really meaningful to anyone other than you. Nah, you have been right about very little, if anything, but you keep trying to claim you are right. Again, your understanding of science in practice is extremely limited and it shows.

I was right that COVID was bad. Obvious but given the number of people here who told me I was wrong, I’ll take it as a win.
I’ve been right about the pandemic of the unvaccinated for months. Nobody disputes this. The vast majority of people hospitalized and dying during the Delta wave in the US have been unvaccinated.
Again, neither of these are groundbreaking insights, but on LRC simply reading and interpreting data correctly puts you in the top 2%.

If anyone was starting to think, Gee, maybe the anti-vaxxers might have an argument that might apply in some cases, here's a good reminder: nope, these people are cuckoo bananas.

Every 6 months, according to Fauci
There's a lot about the antivaxxers that makes no sense at all, but this is a big one. So let me get this straight:
1. There's a virus that kills a lot of people.
2. A lot fewer people get sick or die if they get a vaccine.
3. But the effectiveness of the vaccine wanes over time.
4. So people need to get a booster shot regularly.
5. ???
6. WORLD DOMINATION
What exactly is it about getting a regular booster shot that has you all so freaked out? So the government convinces a lot of people to get booster shots, and...what? But the anti-vaxxers keeps posting stories about booster shots being needed like they've just discovered the Zapruder film. Do you think it's full of microchips? Mind control drugs? Feminizing hormones? It makes no sense.

Boosters looking awesome. Better than hybrid immunity under these assays. Bodes well.

Great, since they're looking so awesome and inviting to you go out and get yours preferably multiple times over. Because they're so awesome and wonderful and protective you don't need to compel me to take one with you.
Problem solved.
What that moron doesn't specify is that the virus that "kills a lot of people" won't kill me. Fewer people will die if they do a lot of things like lose weight, exercise and eat right. Since those people won't do those things they need some pharmaceutical intervention to protect themselves. Unfortunately at the moment the guidelines only specify these crappy shots with subpar efficacy that wanes over time. Unfortunately many of those at highest risk of death by COVID do not harness any immune response to the shot. Unfortunately nobody is emphasizing this point and advising them to 1) take control of their modifiable risk factors that put them at such high risk and 2) take pure exposure prophylatic monoclonal antibodies which not only do provide robust protection from infection (85%+) but also provide robust protection from hospitalization/death (95-100%) including in those who have NO RESPONSE TO THE SHOT. The durability of efficacy w these monoclonals is 6-12 months. Further, they have an excellent safety/tolerability profile especially compared to the crappy safety/tolerability of the crappy shots. They do not land people up in bed feeling crappy for days post-injection either which means people won't need to be compensated for time off of work. How ridiculous that the crappy shots makes people feel so crappy that they can't function well enough to go to work and thus need to be reimbursed/covered for time off post-injection. Huge red flag there.
See? It's not overly difficult to reason through a problem and arrive at a solution. The rest of us should endeavor to build up natural immunity.
I'm not taking your crappy booster shot. Have at it yourself, moron.

Could you explain #2, please? What are these monoclonal antibodies that we can get without prescription to take prophylactically?
BTW, I totally agree with #1. There has been zero emphasis by public health leaders to urge people to improve their own health!

WE hope the 3rd shot does the trick.
WE have no reason to think so.
In fact, we plan of 3-4 shots per year forever
Kaching.
Oops. Did I say that out loud?

Let me start by agreeing with you that covid is really bad. Acquired (sometimes referred to as natural) immunity comes with a great risk of dying or long covid.
What I don't understand... and I'd like your opinion on... is why covid deaths among the vaccinated are higher per capita in the UK than the unvaccinated?
It seems odd that two developed nations that are so similar in most covid severity factors would be so different in vaxxed vs unvaxxed death rates.
As always, I'd prefer a source or raw data, but I'd also like your opinion.
In any "apples to apples" comparison vaccines are highly effective. If you're seeing a claim otherwise, then it is almost certainly a misleading metric.
