With Joey going 1:56, Sikes at 1:56, Withbroe at 1:54, and Donny at 1:50/1:51, could anyone realistically challenge this team if Carleton decides to load the 4x800?
Realistically nobody has a shot at beating them if they stack it, which they likely will. The next fastest would be Gustavus at 1:56,1:56,1:56,1:57 and St Olaf with 1:53,1:56,1:57,1:57. A team of Coffey, Bjork, Eggers, and Lonergan could challenge Carelton but there is almost no chance Olaf goes that route. Gustavus could squeeze out a few more seconds if Fredrickson returns to form but I dont think they are on the same level. Bethel could potentially field a strong team as well but its pretty unlikely with how strong they are in other events.

Holy smokes that is a fast solo run
DCG will also be racing the 800 this weekend at the meet of the unsaintly with Ebner and Krause. Maybe a few natty qualifiers?
That's going to be a crazy race to watch, considering Fredrickson is in it as well. I'm glad to see that Fredrickson and Krause are back to racing, two super nice dudes that will make the conference 800 even more fun to watch.

He's not asking you to prom, let it go.
Anyone have heat sheets for unsaintly and saintly meets?
3:45 for Coffey!
Well, let St Olaf know that if they're paying Fast Finish Results for the Live Results they offer, they're getting ripped off.
Great run by Coffey, RIP Henschel, Bugler and others who perished due to the pace.
The 1500m was a show and the 800m was tasty with plenty of sub-2:00's to go 'round.
Congrats to Jerry on the sub 1:50 it was only a matter of time but that's huge! Awesome race over all, that 800 at conference is going to be tasty.
here's the video of that race, all of the above is accurate. was a really awesome race to have seen.
They should name a track for Paul for his pacing work. Drags Eggers through 1409 to get him a Q indoor. Pulls Coffey along to 3:45.
Do yourself a favor and make sure not to miss the 4x8 at conference.
Carleton- 1:49, 1:54, 1:56, 1:56 for 7:35
Bethel- 1:53,1:54, 1:55, 1:58 for 7:40
Hamline- 1:53, 1:55, 1:55, 1:58 for 7:40
Gustavus- 1:53, 1:56, 1:56, 1:57 for 7:42
St Olaf- 1:53, 1:56, 1:57, 1:57 for 7:43
St Thomas- 1:56, 1:56, 1:56 1:57 for 7:45
My money is still on Carleton but nothing will surprise me.
Carleton 7:38.8
Gustavus 7:39.7
St. Olaf 7:41.6
Hamline 7:42.3
Bethel 7:42.5
Concordia 7:43.2
St. Thomas 7:44.5
I didn't think it would ever happen, but it looks like if the teams stack the 4x800m, that will definitely be more exciting than the mighty 4x4 this year! The 4x4 will still be a great battle for second, but the 4x8 title is up for grabs by any of the top half of the conference.
It'll all come down to how many events can the team members afford to compete in. The 1500m prelims will be slow as usual and there wont be too many surprises, but what on earth is going to happen in the prelims of the open 800m? Will anyone save something for the 5k on Saturday night to score some easy points there?
powerful stuff
Can we start doing predictions now? There are so many interesting and close events and I want to know what you people think.
