I don't see the logic with the argument that this is more evidence against Brosnan. The truth is that there was no evidence and only accusations. Even if the athletes left to be closer to home (and be coached by SB), that does not mean tampering. Athletes follow their coaches all the time. Does that mean they were all tampered too?
The athletes have a right to make a change if they're not happy. These kids are all connected nowadays on social media. Surely, the athletes were in communication with each other which is completely permissible so long as it's not at the direction of the coach. That being said, if I were in their shoes, I would have wanted to transfer too--both times. Can you really blame them?
What do you mean no evidence and only accusations? According to Brosnan, they didn't like the way he lead the team. To me, this means it was not a specific incident(s), but rather a general dissatisfaction about how he was doing his job. Could have been any number of things including potential recruiting violations, complaints from athletes, complaints from co-workers, social media presence they didn't think portrayed the school the way they wanted, behavior at meets/events, shady supplement stuff that was rumored, etc. They didn't think he was doing the job they way they wanted him to.
