Corning boys team had 5 individuals qualify. Will they allowed to score as a team? If so, this will affect other teams’ scores
No, they won't be scored as a team. You can see how they would have placed, but that's it.
I think this happened before back in the late 90s, when Colonie's and Saratoga's girls teams were very strong.
Wasn't quite the same but in 2016 Ithaca qualified four individuals and were winning the race through four runners. Corning were the champions that year, they beat Ithaca at sectionals 25-34. Through four runners they were 189, 183, 175, 169. Ithaca were 187, 177, 176, 175. Their 5th was only a 156 though.
The State Meet is back to VVS, situated in the shadow of Turning Stone Casino, and the rolling hills of Central New York. Much of the course has changed and bee
The guy who made this needs to do his research. Ryan Tuohy and Daniel Granville severely underperformed at their respective sectional meets and didn’t even qualify for the state meet. There are probably others on this list that didn’t make it also
McGinn is the overwhelming favorite tomorrow, but I'm interested to see what green will do with actual competition. He's won every race this season without really being challenged. He's also the top returning finisher from state last year, with a similar "projected gap" on him and mcginn. I think this will be much closer than most anticipate for the individual title.
Any predictions for the smaller classes? There’s always a lot of talk about class A, but there’s some really good storylines elsewhere.
Class B is a 3 way toss up on both the boys and girls side with a 4th within striking distance. Burnt Hills boys have a really historically significant streak on the line. They peaked really well at States last year so I think they’ll get it done but a lot depends on the injury status of one of their top 3 guys.
Meanwhile in Class C there’s also some history on the line as East Aurora has a great shot at a full double sweep winning both the individual and team titles for boys and girls. Anybody know how many times that’s ever happened? I know FM did it back in 2011 but outside of that I’m not sure.

I'm assuming this is reference to TullyRunners.. sounds about right for Bill Meylan but in his defense he is one guy trying to ratings for 1000s of kids a week

A lot of great races tomorrow that a prediction won't do anything for. I hope Leone does splits for each mile so we can get live team scores through each mile.
Pittsford Sutherland is tied with them in the sectional merge. I'm not super familiar with non class A teams so I'm not sure if either team overperformed/underperformed at their sectional meet but looks to be a battle.
Terrible showing by Fairport and Ithaca. Monroe Woodbury and Saratoga proved they shouldn’t have been slept on, Nicholas Thomas from Niskayuna with a very good individual effort to take 4th. In class B Robleno had an amazing day to help Burnt Hills win, Will Tempest ran really well he just doesn’t have the team around him. No real surprises in class D but James Tette from Penn Yan had a very surprising individual victory in Class C
