What case would that be?
What I mean is, a real woman, whose brains make them more compassionate and less aggressive than men (scientific fact), would not feel right about dominating a sporting competition where they have an obvious advantage.
Part of the reason women barely complain about transgender athletes whipping on them is they are more compassionate to their plight.
Men on the other hand, see it differently and are way more vocal about it.
We saw this with many of the female 800m racing samenia. They didn’t do a thing to fight against an obvious unfair advantage.
If someone was completing in the men’s competition with some unfair advantage, the male athletes would boycott and raise hell about.
Only a man would seek to dominate an inferior competitor and rejoice in the victory.

Hogwash. From beginning to end.
Apparently their university gave the women on the team a "strong warning" not to complain about this farce. That is coercion and intimidation, which is the reason they are allegedly not complaining. Despite this members of the team are speaking out, albeit anonymously because they fear reprisal, all for saying that 1 plus 1 equals 2.
I have to say there really is an element of misogyny in all this talk of "rights." Apparently Thomas, who was second team all league competing as a male, seems to revel in beating up on these young women, vocally bragging about his performances. If the reports are correct, Thomas seems like a sociopath who enjoys bullying his female competition. Amazing what you can do if you see yourself on the side of the angels. The cruelty is the point as the saying goes.
Women do not deserve their own category. They do not deserve protected status as athletes. Even if I don't identify as a woman I should still be allowed to compete in the category set up as 'women only'. This is blatant sexism.

Nope. There are countless scientific studies about personality differences of sexes. There are in agressiveness agreeabliness and others.

Do you have sources for your 2 "Apparently" comments. I assume you do have a link to these "reports".

Only a man would have the audacity and perceived privilege to do what this swimmer is doing. And the women he is doing it to are too meek to be totally honest about how they feel about it.
Like I said, sounds like a total sociopath and this is that jackass some people on here are crusading to defend. LOLL.
The problem is that Thomas knows he clearly has all the institutional power on his side and he is considered at the top of the grievance pyramid, so he knows he can mistreat others without any repercussions and clearly enjoys it. That's what happens when you put a crown on a dog.

According to OutKick’s source, Thomas was unhappy with her time after the 500 race, but while standing in front of teammates, made sure to mention, “At least I’m still No. 1 in the country.”
A team source who was at Wednesday’s meeting says the administration drew a line in the sand and announced that Thomas wasn’t going anywhere and it was non-negotiable.
That leaves disgusted teammates no choice but to either stay quiet or speak up against the wishes of the school and risk repercussions. The second swimmer to speak out says that it’s her belief that coach Mike Schnur is just staying quiet and going about his business.
During [a videotaped] interview published Thursday by swimming outlet SwimSwam.com [and posted previously on this LRC thread], Thomas spoke out for the first time since destroying pool records and said, “I’m just thrilled to still be able to swim and I love to compete and I love to see how fast I can go. It’s sorta an ongoing evolution of what I think I can go.”
As for the records Thomas now holds, he doesn’t seem to have any regret in smashing biological female swimming marks.
“I’m proud of my times, my ability to keep swimming and to continue competing. And they’re suited up times. I’m happy with them and my coaches are happy with them,” Thomas added.
And that was that from Thomas. No shame. No mention of not claiming the records so that they can remain the property of biological women. Thomas is moving on — with the records.

Is that your position? That a woman should feel ashamed after winning a race over other women?
Thomas is biolgically a man. He is no more a woman than a person with anorexia who is starving themselves is overweight. Sorry. Deal with it.
I watched the SwimSwam interview. The interviewer asked only softball questions. Here are a few follow-up questions he should have asked.
When Thomas said she had submitted the blood test results to NCAA, he should have asked what her t-level was. If she refuses to answer, that's fine. But at least he could have put her refusal on record.
When the FINA eligibility issue came up Thomas said no one knows what the new rule would be. He should have asked what Thomas would do if she was declared ineligible in FINA sanctioned events. Would she accept the decision and try try comply with the rule for future competitions? Will she legally challenge the ruling? Or will she leave the competitive swimming and move on?
And MOST IMPORTANLY, when Thomas said "everyone should be able to compete in the division they feel most comfortable as long as there is no unfair advantage" or something to that effect, he should have pointed out that Thomas went from second-team All-Ivy (a weak conference in swimming) to NCAA favorite. If that's not "unfair advantage" I don't know what is. He should have asked why Thomas did not think it was an unfair advantage.

You need to reread the post by "greyzones" I reposted. He is a legally disabled guy who is ineligible in any Paralympic category. And he accepts that as a reasonable decision. There is already precedent that one's eligibility in elite sports does not match his/her legal status.
If you do not agree with him, that's fine. But at least I want to know WHY you don't agree with him. You just keep repeating your point ad nauseam without explaining anything or answering anyone's question. That's as rude as any transphobes at the other end of this debate.
This will be an interesting test case for the new policy that's been implemented by the NCAA. It's hard to imagine that there won't be at least some pushback from competitors before the NCAA Championship meet.
Obviously the cream of the crop athletes are genetic freaks, but that's luck of the draw.
This person simply can't give up many of the physical traits she developed through adolescence that give her advantages over her competitors (larger heart/lungs, size, etc.).
