oof...a fine point indeed. Preventable deaths are so sad, it's tragic how seemingly more and more people are becoming desensitized to it
Could you add some nuance to your statement please? Technically, zero deaths are preventable. It's more about prolonging life. The question is to what extent. To save a child's life is the highest priority because they have the most to lose. An 80+ year old? That is over the average life span. People in general cannot demand immortality.
And it's not binary: covid = death. No covid = life. What if that person also had high blood pressure? Lung cancer? Heart issues? If they have comorbidities, then other people cannot be 100% to blame. They should own their contribution to their own demise.
The jabbers are losing on every front as their treasured poison proves absolutely ineffective, except in producing profits at the expense of taxpayers. Hundreds of new billionaires in 2021 as the carrion-feeders and vampires rake in their due. Fat and aged continue to die, whether jabbed or not.
Only with desperate fascist measures can they attempt to hold sway, but the people are pushing back, look at the riots all over Europe. Biden's mandates are turning to diarrhea like his effluential foreign wanderings, and will go to the Supreme Court to get deep-sized forever.
Scamdemic of the Vaccinators, confirmed.

Yes. Force the people into a running program and there’s no need for the insanity and people running around attacking others with needles.

LOL
You sir are an idiot. This is simply because those already at risk are more likely to be vaccinated and there are also more vaccinated people. There are also more deaths from factors other than covid by a large amount.
0/10.

Pandemic of the unvaccinated continues. Look for the fearmongers to continue to move the goalposts.
We haven’t heard about Singapore in weeks because despite record cases, the vaccinated were hospitalized at 10+ fold lower rates than the unvaxxed.
I got told “just wait 2 weeks, the vaccinated will start dying.” Still waiting.
Pandemic of the unvaccinated. One of the longest threads in letsrun history and nobody can prove my wrong.[b/]
Up late on a Friday night bragging about having a long thread that has proven nothing other than who's the biggest loser on Lets Run. Stoppit Smith and Greg thank you for making them look like they have life.

One reason not to draw too much of a conclusion is that 10 to 59 is a really, really broad age group, and the underlying death rate at the top of that group will be much higher than at the bottom.
If the vaccination is also unevenly distributed in that group (and you would imagine the vaccination rate to be much lower among 10 year-olds than 59 year-olds) that would probably provide a sufficient explanation.
Before everyone piles on, I am opposed to mass vaccination, to mandates, to (most) child vaccination against Covid, and all the fascist tyranny being imposed on the back of this slightly worse than normal respiratory disease. It's just that I work in clinical research and we come across all the time things like this that look like something but very often aren't when you dig deeper.
Those of us pushing back need to be scrupulously careful with data and the analysis thereof, the exact opposite of what the propagandists do."
But...it is STILL the "Scamdemic of the Vaccinators"...may the mandators roast in hell for their behavior

Which immediately undercuts whatever point that person was trying to make.
The better part of a million Americans have been killed by it. That's NOT "slightly worse than normal"--it's more than died in the 1918-1919 flu pandemic (when the country's population was smaller, obviously). That's more than the total residents of Denver or Boston or El Paso or Washington, D.C.
Wow,
"The vaccine is not a panacea" Ha ha! What an understatement.
The wheels are quickly falling of the "vaccines are miracles" narrative, huh? They're blaming the 2x increased death rate in 2021 vs 2020 on the unvaccinated and the roll back on masks and social distancing measures. Um, no. The vaccines are underperforming. Unlike what the label claims, the vaccines don't prevent infection by 95+% and it's egregious the FDA still allows the vaccine manufacturers to make this claim. Further, the label claims the vaccines prevent disease by 95% for up to 6 months and this is a farce too.
Bottom line is that the vaccines do not protect those at highest risk of death due to their continued poor lifestyle habits and chronic illnesses like T2D, immunocompromised etc. If the CDC really cares about saving lives, they'd be harping about the need for weight reduction in anyone who is overweight/obese, daily exercise, good nutrition as well as continue sheltering and alternative treatments (e.g., prophylatic pure exposure monoclonal antibodies) for anyone at high risk of death. As for the rest of us who have had the COVID sniffles and/or who are young and healthy, COVID is a snooze fest and should be viewed as such. Let's move on folks.
Anyone who buys the statement the unvaccinated are making the vaccinated ill is an utter moron. Like saying the unfed are making the fed hungry, utterly moronic statement.

This guy is a bit of dope but he does raise a good point here
What you're seeing though is a higher death rate in the vaccinated precisely because they're a high risk demographic (due to underlying comorbidities) and the fact that the vaccines can't protect people from themselves/comorbidities
The vaccines underperform in precisely the groups its meant to protect

Lol antivaxxers are killing vaxxed people by using needed medical resources, destroying families by losing their job over partisan dogma, and bankrupting themselves by contracting debilitating COVID infections. This could all go away if they just took the vax. The selfishness, if not narcissism, from antivaxxers is both comical and tragic.
Most, by far, of the deaths in UK are fully vaxxed, in case anyone in this thread cares about facts?

1.Main points
Between 2 January and 24 September 2021, the age-adjusted risk of deaths involving coronavirus (COVID-19) was 32 times greater in unvaccinated people than in fully vaccinated individuals.
The weekly age-standardised mortality rates (ASMRs) for deaths involving COVID-19 were consistently lower for people who had received two vaccinations compared with one or no vaccinations.
ASMRs take into account differences in age structure and population size to allow comparisons between vaccination status groups; however some differences between the groups such as health status may remain and partly explain the differences in ASMRs.
