He's in. Didn't you listen to the race. Time and again they stated Boston is the only marathon you need to qualify for. Of course, based on that skip the trials and just go straight to the OG.

Don't you think it's inferred that the Oly Trials and Oly Marathon are events that elites must qualify for, but Boston is only mass marathon that you must post a qualifying time to participate?
Even though that's not true any more. You can run for cancer and have a qualifying standard of 6 hrs.

No Kenyan has ever won the Olympic marathon; my bet is that doesn't change next year.
But Japanese-trained Kenyans have done very well. Can you think of any training in Japan?

Ouch and double ouch.

Were the conditions worse for Americans than for others?
Americans had to wade through all the shit being through at them by letsrun.com. Makes for poor traction.
I confirmed it- if you want to watch the Vs Boston coverage, it's on again today at 4 pm.
ow!!! Jason Lehmkuhle is tough. Not many people would have finished that last 7K. All the credit in the world to him (and a speedy recovery).

Huge PR for Kristin Price -- in lousy conditions. From P Penn Trafford High School to NC State to 10t at Boston? Very, interesting...wouldn't be surprised to see her in contension for a spot on the OLY team (bet she finishes 5th or 6th).Hoovis

Was it really worth mentioning that guy's time. He has gotten slower and slower with each of his last 3 marathons.
Gilmore just may make the Olympic team. All he's done is beat people his last couple of marathons.
yeah, 2:30 off the lead and ANOTHER smart race. Gilmore's consistency is only rivaled by Meb and Sell in my opinion.
NOT American Either? and this is yr country?????
What the hell happened to Lehmkuhle over the last couple miles?!?!
Anyone know how the chick in the Addidas commercial did? The one that ran because she liked to listen to music.
