to me, this is worse than if he had finished a stride behind in 3:47. In a 3:47 race, you can say ok Jakob just isn't sharp. this would be an easy race for him if he was all the way back.
Kerr being so fast has to be concerning. He did that from 600 out and running some extra distance. Jakob is in really good shape, but so is kerr, who is seemingly a better finisher, but now also possesses similar strength.
that 3:45.3 is worth what, 3:28 mid? this is Kerr's best race ever. He is more dangerous than ever. And he was already very VERY dangerous
Jakob may have to be even better than last year.
