Maybe carmine and they/them's sock puppets can explain to a Russian why he should support Putin's Debacle, which will likely go down as the worst blunder in a very troubled history:
Someone please explain me one benefit of doing this in Ukraine. What's currently happening in Russia - is that bad or good? Depends on which news you watch!Co...
The goal of this war is to keep the bloodshed going.
The Ukrainians who are actually doing the fighting and dying agree that it is worth their own blood being shed to stop a greedy imperialist pig from achieving his goal of fascist annexation. Not that you in your Safe Space of Holier-Than-Thou judgement would care about the enslavement of 41 million people that just want to be allowed to live in a semblance of freedom and security. I have opposed every war the U.S. has been involved in, but when an authoritarian thug tries to rape a weaker victim, it is time for the rest of the world to step up and support the victim and put the perpetrator in his place.
But that might no be acceptable to a raging anti-semite blinded by racist ideology while hypocritically claiming to be"on the side of peace".
Wow.
How did you work "anti-semite" into that nonsensical rant?
That's almost as good as the narrative of a white guy killing black people in Buffalo being due to anti-semitism -- something that the entire MSM has done.
Is that why Russia hasn't withdrawn yet? Because they're blood-thirsty, ruthless monsters that want to keep the bloodshed going"?
America is spending another $40 billion on weapons for Ukraine to keep the blood spilling.
The people who run America hate Russians and Ukrainians.
I disagree. Most if not all Americans don't hate Russians and Ukrainians. It's Putin who's the Hitler of our age that many people hate. Just like Hitler, the sooner Putin is gone the better for Ukraine, Russia, the neighborhood and the rest of the world.
My hopes are Putin succumbs to whatever is ailing him sooner rather than later. Then maybe peace will break out in Ukraine. Wishful thinking perhaps. Who knows who's next in line. Russia never has had very good leadership at the top. The same could be said for most leaders around the world also.

Americans don't hate them.
The people who run America do.
And now have tricked many Americans into hating Russians. Just as they did with Iraqis, Iranians, Libyans, Palestinians, and, more and more, Trump voters.

This war is not on Putin.
In your first sentence you said Americans don't hate Russians.
Your third sentence you said Americans do hate Russians.
Which is it? No hate, or hate.
No one had to teach us to hate Iranians. They taught us how to do that their own selves.
"...that's not really how international politics works, unless you just believe in a "might makes right" code... in which case there can be no war crimes for you to climb up on your high horse about."
Four logical fallacies; False Dilemma, Appeal to Ethos, Non Sequitur, and Ad Hominem. Attack facts and arguments, not people.
This ignores over 200 years of cultural Russian identity in Crimea ("they couldn't possibly have wanted this") and dismisses an undeniably-positive plebiscite on grounds of self-interest (“the outcome didn’t favour us) and bureaucracy ("didn’t go through proper channels so it doesn't count!")
The validity of a vote 8 years ago in Crimea does not determine whether war crimes exist now in Ukraine.
"...Can this board hold a referendum on whether you and carmine should be allowed to post? Does it make it binding if we do and you're voted off the island? It would be the "will of the People".
There are things we should not usually vote on – like removing basic rights. This is not to say there are things that can be voted on. Self-determination is commonly one of those things.
"...I'm glad this money is being given to Ukraine where I at least get some entertainment watching Russian tanks get blown up. Fortunately, the majority of Americans disagree with you, and as you said - the will of the people and the clear majority is demonstrated. You do believe in democracy, don't you?"
Destruction and death are something to be “glad” about and are “entertainment”?
BTW, I am bolding phrases were the response was made personal by singling me out.
When did advocating responsible spending become anti-democratic?
"Because it's the right thing to do. For somebody that spends all their time riding around on their moral high horse, you seem to have a tenuous grasp of right and wrong."
Moral appeal followed by a personal attack.
"I watched …President Zelenskyy earlier this week… he certainly didn't sound like someone who was being "forced to should[er] Western arms"
Would be relevant if it had been stated Zelenskyy was forced to fight.
Those forced are the millions of Ukraine men forbidden from fleeing the country with their families, and the million or so being conscripted into mandatory wartime service.
"…just bluster to hide your true, financial motives. It doesn't matter what happens to anybody else in the world, as long as your taxes don't go up! Gotcha."
One can be concerned about facts, hypocrisy, war crimes, and responsible spending at the same time. These are not exclusive.
It does not follow wanting responsible spending requires disdain for what happens to all others everywhere.
"What is this Russians being killed for their cell phones?"
Reports are of both Russians and Ukrainians being killed for cell phones. In some disturbing cases, Ukrainians used cell phones from Russian soldiers to call the captured or fallen soldier’s family to taunt them or send gruesome pictures.
"Many selfish people here looking to blame the victim, when Russia is the sole cause of this invasion… Anything the US can do.. is worthwhile."
Not every possible thing the US can do is worthwhile. Actions and consequences should always be considered, understood, and balanced.

The American people have no reason to hate Russians.
And, for the most part, did not until the Dems began this Russian collusion nonsense.

Carmine hates America. We don't know who taught him that.
Carmine loves Russian and Iran. Those countries are announced enemies of America, so Carmine and a few others feel compelled to love them.
I think all the America-haters on this thread believe they are being contrarians (but don't understand what a contrarian is). So they feel compelled to praise Russia and denigrate America and its Allies and Ukraine. It's part of their identity.
Yeah, I'll bet that truth is coming. Probably just two more weeks!
Yep... zerohedge.
But, you're too stupid to understand that you're shooting the messenger. Mook testimony is one of .................. disinformation by the Hillary and her cohorts. And zerohedge is simply the messenger. Facts are very difficult for you, we know. That's why you don't like the messenger (or facts).

This ain't rocket science.
Of course we had to be taught to hate Iran.
Not trying to derail this thread but. Iran invaded American sovereign territory when they raided and over took the American Embassy in Tehran. They took everyone there into custody and held them for 444 days. Most nations around the world consider this as an act of war. Which by the way has not yet been concluded.
So yes, you're correct. We had to be taught to hate Iran. And technically our 2 countries are still in a state of war. Thank's for setting me straight.
You do realize that here in America we are subject to American, not Russian, propaganda?
You guys don't seem to understand this most obvious thing
You only have to be subjected to the propaganda you choose. I listen to all sides (not just U.S. v. Russian). There is this thing called the internet, which can provide diverse and contextual information (as I did earlier today from an actual Russian living in Moscow, but you chose to ignore). And yes I subscribe to Jimmy Dore's channel too. He was dead on with covid, but is absolutely clueless on Ukraine. He doesn't understand the history of the region and how the geopolitics works. Your predictable contrarianism is lifted right off his rantings. But he is still 30 points higher in IQ than your uranium-brick anti-U.S. table-thumping.

Thank you for acknowledging your lack of reading comprehension. I'll boil it down for you: Ukrainians who are willing to fight and die for their country have 1000x the integrity of a smug but stupid little internet troll as yourself.

I wonder if Carmine salad would taste good on marble rye? Probably not. It might leave a bad taste in your mouth.
