I think if Ackley starts both 1600 and 3200 he will win both, it would be a great end to the story of Connor, my coach is good friends with his coach, so I’ve heard stories of his workouts and training, he works so hard and races so well, but he has yet to capture the illustrious individual state title in track, many though last year was his year to get one. But I think he will race well and get at least one. The field is great in both, I think it will be tougher in the 1600 for him, his patience and strength in the 3200 will give him a better opportunity, compared to some of the racers he must outlast in the 1600. But I’d watch out for Rice winning again or my sleeper pick, Eli Ilg, he went for it in indoor, running alone way ahead of the field and it almost worked, that was similar to what rice did in indoor the year he won outdoor, Rice was the only runner willing to try to race Zegarski when he took off. But with the expected temps to be over 90 during both races I think the 3200 could be up for grabs.
