Thriving? 80% of the country has lost wealth over the past 18 months and everything costs more. Real estate (wherein lies the bulk of middle class wealth) looks to be stagnant or worse for the foreseeable future.
lawyers are not allowed to bring frivolous lawsuits.
lawyers are officers of the court. They are responsible to help the legal system run smoothly and within the rules.
giuliani Broke all these rules and deserves to be disbarred. Many other trump lawyers were also disciplined for the same things.
you lack a basic understanding of the legal system.
Provide evidence of him lying under oath (that’s what got Clinton disbarred).
The left bring frivolous lawsuits all the time.
How did he impede the legal system?
from the disciplinary committee, sums it all up. You can read some real news sources for more details. NYT, ABC, NBC, etc. You know the drill. You don't need me.
"He claimed massive election fraud but had no evidence of it. By prosecuting that destructive case Mr. Giuliani, a sworn officer of the Court, forfeited his right to practice law," the panel added. “His utter disregard for facts denigrates the legal profession.”
we all need to grow up and make a decision. It's binary. That's how this works. The nation is thriving under biden and the WH is utterly corruption-free. If you feel the way about trump as you say, you should vote for Biden. The nation is fine under Biden and will stay so. Our economy is growing faster than any other G7 nation and has the lowest inflation of any of them also.
The nation under trump was not ok and it will not be ok if reelected. He is twice-impeached, twice-indicted and is promising to destroy the nation's institutions if reelected.

employment has not been higher in decades, wages are up, jobs are out there for anyone, the income gap between rich and poor is shrinking, the economy is growing. Inflation is falling fast and now lower than it was in many times we consider 'boom times.' Losing wealth? Sure, the stock market and housing markets have not hit highs for a couple years. COVID was a real problem. And the two forever wars, iraq and afghanistan are over.
The French piece is interesting to read, but unfortunately, it still doesn’t really explain anything to me. You’ve been convinced that the left is horrible, and it’s us versus them. Got it. That’s obviously simplistic and bad and unhealthy for a country. But it still doesn’t explain why those people would INSIST on their leader against the left being Trump. A person, even viewed through a Fox lens, who’s clearly amoral, unethical, unlawful, and unqualified to be president. Even through Fox lenses for both issues, his character is more clearly atrocious than the left’s threat to your country and lifestyle. And yet you INSIST on him being your leader. Still makes no sense to me.
It seems that the only way to make it make sense is to assume the following:
1) Something approaching half of America hates what they view as “liberal” A LOT.
2) Many principles and values that they claim to hold dearly (honesty, decency, lawfulness, democracy, etc.) they simply don’t. It’s just pure bulls**t for some of them. And WAY less important than they claim them to be for the rest.
A lot of people are just extremely ignorant (not dumb, just unaware) and they are easily led to believe all kinds of things. Like they have convinced themselves that Trump isn’t racist, and is just a hard working person who became a billionaire on his own and wants to stick it to the liberal elites and back the hard working Americans of middle America. They have convinced themselves that the liberal coastal elites and mainstream media can’t be trusted at all. Most of them are not actual bigots, they just feel that the Democratic Party hasn’t done much to help the working class especially those in middle America. Plus Trump is way more entertaining than DeSantis. Could you imagine wanting to follow DeSantis around and listen to him drone on with his expressionless face?
If someone can’t watch Trump speak for a few minutes (or 7 years) and not realize that he shouldn’t be the most powerful person in the world, yes, they’re extremely dumb.
If they do see it, but decide that the (“liberal”) alternative is worse, they’re either dumb or have been brainwashed to an amazing extent.
The sum of those 2 groups is what, 70-90% of the Republican Party? And 40-45% of all American voters?

Here’s what I would have hoped about my country, the one who’s citizens love to say is “Great”:
The vast majority of its citizens would (easily) pick a boring autocrat-lite (or better, other respectable conservatives) over the “entertaining” autocrat.
Put another way, yes, there is a fraction who would respond, “FU** honesty and decency!! We want Trump to kick lib ass!!”
But more, I believe, still pretend to value (or greatly value) honesty and decency (and probably largely practice it, day to day), and yet are still sitting on his side after all they’ve seen.
Speaking in generalizations there are a few categories of Trumpers.
1. the flat out POS type that love Trump because he made it OK to not need to hide their racism, bigotry and xenophobia. I was behind a doordash driver less than an hour ago with a huge sticker on his back window that spelled out FU** YOU BIDEN AND FU** you to all that voted for him. He was driving a POS CAR with other bumper stickers that said F you if you think my muffler is too loud. This for all to see including young children. i guess the Brandon stuff was no longer good for him. (You get the picture of this type)
2. Shamefully wealthy business owners, billionaires, white collar grifters that know Trump is an idiot but also know they will take care of them financially if they grease the family with support. Essentially people that have recognized ways to grift with Trump's help.
3. Grandma and Grandpa at the Villages that have always voted GOP and take their marching orders from Fox news and truly believe everything they tell them to belief. These are the most innocent of all Trumpers. They go to church and think God is telling them that Trump is anointed because Pastor says so.
Most of the Letsrun Trumpers I think are category 1.
Agree about Cat. 1 and LRC. But what fraction of the R party do 1-3 add up to? We can define “Trumper” in different ways, but to get to Trump’s very high R approval rating, I believe that you need a whole bunch of younger and outwardly less pathetic folks than just those in categories 1 and 3.

EVERY economic stat isn’t THE best it’s ever been, so….elect the autocrat wanna-be who doesn’t even try to hide it!!

Good grief … you list a bunch of left wing, Democrat-protecting, fake-news-promoting outlets as “news sources” and act like you are an intelligent person? Give me a break.
Disgusting you won’t even condemn his despicable behavior towards his granddaughter. You baby-killing-loving hypocrites make me want to puke.

In spite of his actions. You can mostly thank Trump and red states for green lighting the permits. One of Biden’s first actions as president was an executive order that basically eliminated new permits on Federal lands, took away right of way for pipelines through Federal lands (which has severely hamstrung the industry) and banned fracking on Federal lands. The only thing that the current administration did that was pro-fossil fuels was approved the Mountain Valley pipeline, and that was only because of Manchin and the Republicans using the debt ceiling as a negotiating tool.

Employment is drying up and is where it is because of excess stimulus that eroded the value of everything you own and made everything else more expensive. Employing that extra 1% of idiots took 20-30% out of you retirement when you account for stock market declines combined with the drop in the value of a dollar due to the inflation. The decline in the wealth gap came because those in the top quintile lost so much money, that’s not something worth bragging about. Housing markets are going to be down for close to a decade due to the action the fed had to take as a result of the excessive stimulus from the American Rescue plan that was not needed, but politically convenient.
Employers continued to raise wages during the fourth quarter to attract workers and hold on to existing staff, though the pace of the increases slowed from the previous quarter.
Having just looked at your link, my guess is your “80% of the country has lost wealth over the past 18 months” statement is also hooey. Wages were up, but income was down likely due to investments like the stock market. But the data shown in that article only goes to 2022. In 2023 the stock markets have done quite well which suggests wealth has likely increased in the last 6 months.

False. Biden has actually been promoting oil production and Clean Energy production as well.
WH Roll Call wrote:
In its first two years the Biden administration approved nearly 6,500 applications for permits to drill, according to Bureau of Land Management data. This slightly outpaces the Trump administration, which approved just under 6,300 permits during its first two years.
A few years ago Biden said that decency needs to be restored to the White House. I guess when he said "decency" he meant cocaine, topless activists, constant lying to the American people, crack, sadism and debauchery. Caligula had nothing on the Biden administration.
After a cocaine discovery and activist going topless, Americans weighed in on whether they think President Biden is upholding decency at the White House.

New Heritage Analysis Finds Average American Family Is Effectively $7,400 Poorer Under Biden
WASHINGTON—New data released Thursday showed prices have risen 13.7% since President Biden took office, as measured by the consumer price index (CPI). The overall price level declined 0.1% last month but increased 6.5% in 202...
Classic: He says something about wealth probably having increased in the last six months, and you respond with an "analysis" that's six months old.
But credit where it's due, this is better trollage than your average product recently. Still a troll, still a liar, though.
I had not really read his post very clearly. He said wealth had increased in last 6 months? How much wealth has plummeted since Biden took office. The stock market has had a good start to the year, but what about last year? NASDAQ dropped 33% last year and the other indices sucked as well. Inflation was at 1.4% when Trump handed off to Biden. Under Biden it soared to above 9%. The "stimulus" bills made Americans much poorer.
