exactly backwards. Hunter was ONLY prosecuted because he is a Biden. His crimes are almost always dealt with at the civil level when others committed them. So....no. 180 degrees wrong. Hunter suffered for being a biden.
Meanwhile in a world where evidence exists, Smith is getting closer to indictments in the fake electors case. You don't offer immunity unless you know of a crime.
Washington CNN — Special counsel Jack Smith has compelled at least two Republican fake electors to testify to a federal grand jury in Washington in recent weeks by giving them limited immunity, part of a current push by federal prosecutors to swiftly nail down evidence in the sprawling criminal investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
That activity could signal that investigators are nearing at least some charging decisions in a part of the 2020 election probe, sources added. It also comes just as the special counsel’s office filed charges against former President Donald Trump for his handling of classified documents.

Very few people know, have the intellectual capacity to grasp, or can bring themselves to read (admit) about these developments. But much of it is laid out in Chapters 3 and 5 of the January 6th Report, all of which is cited to by deposition and hearing testimony and documents from Trump witnesses who were there.
This is where the rubber meets the fish and where Trump and/or several of his advisors have their greatest criminal legal problems. I predict that, at a minimum, John Eastman and Ken Chesebro are both going to prison (Eric Herschmann, former Trump lawyer, to Eastman: "Now I'm going to give you the best free legal advice you're ever getting in your life. Get a great F'ing criminal defense lawyer, you're going to need it.").
Tuesday’s announcement that Hunter Biden, the president’s son, agreed to plead guilty to federal tax and firearm crimes drew widespread criticism from Republicans, who slammed it as a “sweetheart deal.” Actually, Biden was treated harshly and — based on what we know publicly — received more severe treatment than a typical defendant.
When I looked at crime statistics, I could see why. A Syracuse University study found that from 2013 to 2017, the DOJ brought a total of 35,758 prosecutions with a firearm charge as the lead charge in the indictment. Of those, 26,717 were felon-in-possession charges. Only 614 involved a charge for the unlawful shipment, transfer, receipt or possession of a firearm by a drug addict. That makes sense — federal prosecutors focus on large-scale narcotics traffickers, not drug users.
As for the misdemeanor tax charges, I prosecuted tax cases and have defended many clients in criminal tax cases, and I’m not familiar with a misdemeanor tax charge ever being brought as the only tax charge in a case.

How does this prove he was treated harshly?
How many drug users who illegally purchased a gun were not prosecuted?
June 23 (Reuters) - Rudy Giuliani was sanctioned by a U.S. judge on Friday for failing to search for and turn over records in a defamation lawsuit brought by former Georgia election workers against him for accusing them of ballot fraud. Advertisement · Scroll to continue
U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell ordered Giuliani, Donald Trump's ex-lawyer, to pay attorney fees and costs associated with the plaintiffs’ effort to force Giuliani to search for documents, according to an order in Washington, D.C., federal court. The exact sum has not yet been determined.

WTF? Jesus goddam Christ, this does NOT belong on a GOP crime blotter. Giuliani was sanctioned in a civil lawsuit. There is no crime involved. You're diluting your brand with this stuff.
One of life’s little mysteries is why career DOJ prosecutors, FBI agents and journalists would forever destroy their integrity and reputations for … this guy pic.twitter.com/hUaIsKceqx
I say again, Trump and Trumpism can very, very easily be seen as a horrible thing for this country without one iota of media interpretation or commentary.
How do you differentiate between Trump/"Trumpism" and just solid conservatives? Everyone I travel around with want Trump gone. So why do you insist in calling us Trumpists when we are anything but? All of my friends are conservatives (some Libs be we treat them just the same) and we really want Trump gone and we want to remove Biden/Harris from office. So, I ask you if you can please quit referring to us as Trumpists. We are not.
As long as you suck it up and vote for Trump, I think we get to call you a Trumper. Feel free to call me a Bidener. Or Bidenist. It's not nearly as catchy though
Prigozhin is wanted by the FBI here in the states for helping trump get elected in 2016. Mueller indicted him. The republicans wish you didn’t know that. They want you to believe Russian collusion is a hoax.
A defeated or even a significantly weakened Putin will assure Biden's re-election.
The only chance Trump or a wanna-be Trump would have is if they take Nancy Mace as a running mate. She is an attractive charismatic non-angry congresswoman from South Carolina who could bring back some independents and non-crazy Republicans.

You can indict a ham sandwich. Plus, Russia does not have a extradition treaty with the US.
