I-70, isn't that the road Rossi took in 2014?
BackUpRV Driver wrote:I am curious....
OK, robs Web site has him going Route 40 through Indiana and Illinois (Pre-Planned Route).
Just looked at the live tracker and it shows that he is on I-70 - several miles off course (per the pre-planned route). Hey LAZ - WTF is going on here? I am pretty sure it is against the law to run on an Interstate Freeway System.
Please update whoever is with this guy. Unless the tracker is again in the RV which makes absolutely no damn sense at all!
I-78 is the Michael Rossi Cheater Highway.

Ah thanks, how can I forget?!
I was just thinking how much more comfortable Rossi was during his cheating. He just barely triggered start/finish mats, but otherwise just drove to starbucks and back to park and re-enter. Rob is actually going through runner hell right now. Of course it's well deserved, but still what a difference! I love it.

Haven't you read Jurassic Park?
It's now clear that there will be no records. And definitely no Guinness World Record. The question is whether or not Robert will try to complete his "run". When they realize that any record is impossible it will be extremely difficult to keep up the morale and motivation to get to NYC. In case Laz and the crew stay with him, this will take at least three weeks.
I expect him to bail out before NYC. Most probably due to injuries/sunburn/heat stroke.

reader of the thread wrote:That was reported by a professor from Purdue University who completed race across usa with RY. And Carlson wasn't being critical, just fascinatetd at RY's unusual racing technique and success. Read Carlson's blog post. He says that RY would start at 5:00-5:30 pace. Is that hearsay?
http://www.bryceacarlson.com/blog/rausa-early-reflections/Race across usa never posted any data from that event other than a spreadsheet with finishing times for each day.
I'm not saying that RY didn't run every stage of race across usa, but I am saying that there is not much verification for it. If RY has distorted and exaggerated other claims, this is open to question.
technically, yeah..but another runner confirmed that Rob would blow through before anyone was there to see him, at least initially.
Carlson from Purdue mentions that in that blog post about the unstaffed aid stations at 6.6 and 13.1 would RY run through.
-6/10 for attempts to disparage the people who have exposed the scam ring.
Disappointing how fast it has gone downhill for you. Was there any planning of this or just disparage those raising legitimate questions?
Huddle back up and try again?

Is Laz playing rope-a-dope with Rob out there?
Playing the long game and ensuring he goes through the pain that he deserves before eventually sticking it to him.
Will there be a referee to eventually step in and stop this sham?
This is very much what is going on.
Laz knows what it takes to do what he's trying to do and how hard it is; he'll give him all the rope(help) he needs to stay "clean" but deep down, he's sure that he's unlikely to be able to pull it off but if he does, it'll be a really long sufferfest with him there keeping him honest.

It's all in here:
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/post.php?board=1&reply=7378237You have to click back through the blog post linked there to get the photos. You also have to go to his Facebook account to get the video with some footage of the breakdown (It's the one posted 6/13 at 10:18).
The TomTom data referenced is here:

Sorry I can't provide more direct links-- the spam filters block a lot of stuff.

Thanks.
Could you ask if they specifically remember that RV (Skins sponsoring, American flag)?
Or post the link to the activity, so I could ask it.
RV was mentioned in the question, but he didn't address it in his response. Links should be in the Google doc now.
Note this from p. 200.
Sounds like he will finish even if the Guinness record is out the window. Sounds like he will at least want to accomplish #2 to add that to his website resume.
Seems like there's still a question on which route Rob took from Bannock to Laughlin. Can someone ask Laz to see if he can pin them on which way he went? Shouldn't be too hard of a question.

If you go to his website and click Team Skins GB running and then select Rob's year plan you can see that there were four aims for this:
1) Break the world record
2) 2 time USA crosser
3) Fastest European Crossing
4) Fastest British Crossing
If he fails to break the 'world record' he won't need to submit his GPS data to Guinness for verification, so he might just claim to have achieved points 2), 3) and 4). Anyone know what the times for 3) and 4) are? I remember reading about one of Britain's great runners doing it in the late 60s (?) but have a mind blank and can't think of his name
he ran barefoot across the USA. And we was an elite, unlike RY POS.

Or were you referring to your obsession with Marcus?
Since this WR attempt is coming to a close, I am wondering what the actual WR is for a kid sitting in mother's basement? Does there have to be a basement? A mother? Can I sit on the front porch when no one is looking? Is is o.k. if I collect social security while I do it? Do I have to be a narcissist? Should I be fat or slim? Skinny fat?

Yeah...as well as Newton Baker - a Rob supporter. He mentions it in a FB thread on the topic.

Laz has been consistent that he is just there to observe (and felt obligated to help out when he felt they made dangerous decisions).

Good to know. Newton Baker was one of the 7 finishers of race across usa along with Bryce Carlson and RY. So 2 of RY's 6 fellow participants in race across usa independently note the same erratic racing technique by RY. Not exactly hearsay as Tom B claims.
Wasn't there another photo of him with the RV? Can't seem to find that on the blog post or FB...
Also I can't find any location data in the photos, did you use the ones from facebook or the blog?
