Rit should be ahead of Cortland. They ran against and beat a host of ranked teams. Cortland has not run against any ranked teams yet. That, of course, will change this weekend at the Paul Short. If they run well, they'll move up. Rit proved itself at the Pre-Nats. They should be ranked much higher than they are right now for their accomplishment this past weekend.
Before the debate starts on Saturday or Sunday, they don't call it the "Paul Short" race for nothing. The course has been and always will be, "short." Our coach measured it at 4.86 miles last year.
