One has to consider this as one of the LRC greats.

Used to be cancer guy legend.
Obviously poster of the decade is me.
once again the female representation is incredibly low.
have you learnt nothing letsrun?
shame on you.
Ok..so why was this post deleted like an hour after i put it up?
"The year is 2027"
... or whatever the year in the thread title was. I can't find the actual thread.
Renato Canova should be poster of the decade!

LRC note: We started a thread on this and didn't realize there already was one so we are mergin them: Here is the LRC post:
We spent all of this time coming up with the LRC people and runners of the decade.
Shouldn't we just have have come up with LRC post/poster of the year and decade as well?
Nominations open.
Moanswers post: Since it's the thing to do right now... I vote for one of these:
1. Robert Young fakes run across America
2. Did Mike Rossi (viral marathon dad) cheat his way into Boston?
3. Rojo says he might start a Kip Litton thread but only 1 and only 1 thread
Yes, those were all great.
I mean the one where Matthew Withrow races Cole Goucher

I would have nominated “The Year is 2027” post, but it has been, sadly, deleted. Can a thread be given the honor post-mortem?
How was that deleted? There was nothing wrong with that thread. Wejo, can we get that one back?

Troll post of the decade. Honorary mention.
Remember Coebra?

That crazy thread about the surfing madonna (I think that's what it was) race in CA where the race director tried to claw back prize money. Man, that was a gem. The whole thing was almost to unbelievable to be true.
Bob was a hoot. That might get my vote.
Of the cheater threads, Litton established the genre and was the most influential. That's the obvious choice for hall of fame thread (assuming "post" extends to threads). Rossi had the most intrigue and up and down with drunk Rossi posting on Friday nights and the Ken insanity. The Parveneh thread was pretty good with a slow build. Rob Young was right up there with impact and discovery. The Alex Viada thread was compelling before it got deleted. The Frank Mezra thread, the only one of these started in 2019 (right?), had the most shocking conclusion, obviously, but I think the others were better threads.
Bruce/Caitlin Jenner's transition was called on Letsrun years before I heard of it elsewhere, but maybe I was out of the elsewhere loop.
D3 girls or Coebra. Nothing else can compare to those two.
Forgot about this one. It was started at the end of 2009 but ran into 2010

There has been a lot of complaining about transgender males competing against females. Bruce/Caitlin tells any male who is determined to take hormones to complete as a female all they need to know. Bruce/Caitlin started wanting to be a female with a penis and still having sex with women. But the hormone treatments Bruce/Caitlin took took over control. Bruce/Caitlin decided that it was bye-bye penis. Bruce/Caitlin went the operation route to have a v-jay-jay (vagina) installed. Well, Bruce/Caitlin is now having sex with men.
So, beware "boys." Is winning medals as a "woman" really worth risking the result Bruce/Caitlin learned the "hard" way?

Mike Rossi thread
Rob Young thread
Seeing the developments in these threads and in real life was quite the experience
The mike rossi thread was next level insanity. The real life drama of the Philadelphia DJ industry attacking each other as the back story while mike rossi tried to cheat a second time at a 5k to win the LRC bet... he attacked local TV celebrities, a few criminal charges, endless threats, one of the DJ’s actually died... it was way beyond insane. You couldn’t invent the crazy ongoing backstory that just seemed to keep one-upping itself.
“the official thread to discuss letsrun moderation policy” or whatever it was called.
Without question, one of the greatest troll threads this year, possibly ever.
The OP asked for suggestions to improve the forum, numerous users gave sincere, logical, well-thought-out responses which would have greatly improved things yet were either dismissed, waved off, or just completely ignored. The thread was good for a while because people actually believed their recommendations were being taken into consideration when in reality, openness, transparency, and true lasting change were never going to happen.
Every so often, someone will come along, and not realizing the thread was all a big joke, fall for it and post a suggestion, not realizing that the vast majority of us figured out that nothing new has been implemented and the song remains the same.
