Only gripe I have about the video is that he used the GPS time...why not just use a regular stop watch!! You don't need GPS if you're running on a freakin track.

This would be a good strategy and very much a possibility. I'm pretty sure Spencer does a bit of that and probably Nick, or at least associates thereof.

Even if she is the girl from the video, she still looks like a fool and didn't pull this off well at all. Because the first thing that a lot of us watching wondered is "Is this the girl from the video?"...Maybe pretending to be a guy would have been better than playing it this way.

True. Though FYI my countless Nick Symmonds threads are 100% authentic and written for free

There is no way that girl runs a 25 200m and a sub 2:24 marathon.

This is a gross thread. The level of disparity you have to reach to think it’s acceptable to gatekeep making videos about running on a platform built to encourage creation about media of all forms is depressingly low. So what if this guy wants to make running videos but he hasn’t broken 5:20? People who haven’t broken 5:20 still have a lot of passion for the sport. I know I did before I broke 5:20. Coming onto this board and shitting all over this guy’s video on the grounds of being too amateur for you personally is sad. Go be bitter in the solitude of your own home so the rest of us don’t have to see it here.
Whats sad is he’s actually a good runner and likely better than most of this lot. Recruited by Austin for sprinting.

Because who buys sprint spikes? Market is tiny.
The market for road racing flats is much smaller than for track spikes.
?? Millions run road races each year. Track is tiny. Roads are mainstream. And hardly any of his shoe reviews are about ‘flats’ they are marathon shoes
Why did you create this thread? The dude just wanted to make a video about how fast he can run and you come on letsrun to sh!t on him for literally no reason. And then you guys still wonder why people hate this website.
Boo hoo, someone who is slower than I pretend to be gets attention for running. Wah wah.

Running Goddess is a great example of one of the reasons why this place has a bad reputation.
Anonymity. This thread was only started because he's a jerk and he knows he can't attach his real name to it. Also, he can make up whatever times he wants under the cloak of anonymity. Seems like a lot of trolling BS.

The prediction that OP runs a 22 minute 5k was probably the most accurate. He’s probably jealous.
It's sad that you have to post under a pseudonym to show your true character. If you really are an elite marathoner I think it's clear your real personality can't make you enough money so you decide to bash people slower than you that make more money than you do making youtube videos.

Why watch his videos then?
It was recommended by the algorithm
It’s not like YouTube is forcing you to watch it, lol. Just like I don’t watch Symmonds’ endless “race me” videos that are always recommended to me. Just click “not interested” and move on.

Publicly bashing your friend on letsrun seems like a strange way to promote a video, but I mean, we’re talking about it, so I guess it worked? ?♀️
Using GPS distance/time likely made his time faster than it actually was. I wouldn't call this guy a "Youtube runner." He's really a youtuber who does running shoe reviews. He doesn't race.
There's no way that someone who runs for so long and only runs 5:20 will dust anyone at anything. This dude is slow , period.
I've seen this guys video and I was shocked at how slow he is. I expect someone who is young and runs so much do do better than 5:00 easily.
