Team USATF obtained 5 Golds and 2 Silvers out of a possible 9 medals. That is pretty successful in my opinion.

Exactly.
And it's early May.
And it's in Japan (jet lag)
This meet just isn't important, especially if there are any hints of injury or lack of fitness.
Seriously the worst handoff ive ever seen between Gatlin and Young. Absolutely pathetic.

Nice that a first-time viewer chimed in!

know that but I don't get how we lose 4 x 400s. I guess not having Norman hurt. Why didn't Norman go? Or did he run something else?
You didn't do yourself any favors by updating your rant. You just solidified your lack of knowledge of the sport.
Here it is in a nutshell. The meet doesn't matter that much. It's actually much more important to some nations because the meet can be used to qualify for the meets which really are important. The US doesn't have to concern themselves with that.
Your over the top girly OMG!!!! is completely misplaced.

The saving grace is the US team has a hands to make amends in the WCs.
Yeah, they'll need to get some hands if they want to have a chance.
The top performers are on a different schedule this year due to the late date of the World Championships in Doha. Previous posters already mentioned that most of the US squad was the B team. It is as simple as that RoJo.

The clown act of USA relays has a long and rich tradition. Why change now?
you're being too harsh, morons need a sport to play, as well is low IQ coaches.
what would they do with out track.
same goes for the refs and administrators.
i guess the refs would fit in to boxing, they need more lousy decisions.
and lousy administrators can get a job anywhere.
anyway, thank god for taking care of the low IQ athletes and coaches out there, and save them from permanent dwelling in a basement apartment somewhere.

why doesn't everyone just e-mail the USATF "relay" coach Orin Richburg. The dude is a clown act and one of the reasons USATF consistently screws up. The guy couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag, yet because he is tight with Duffy Mahoney in USATF (and he is another clown) we keep having issues. USATF coaching selections are a joke.
Yes!This!
Don't trip. ....Rai Benjamin and Michael Norman were not there. Chill. We've got this 4 x 400.
You obviously didn't see Japan's handoff in the prelims.

Your over the top chest-beating is misplaced, doofus. The US teams didn't lose because they didn't care. No one runs to lose. Incompetence isn't the same as indifference.

This one should have been given a "golden baton" spoof prize.
There was also Jamaica's first exchange (stop and go and stop) in the women's 4x200m and many other botched ones. (E.g. th German women missed the 2nd place in the B final that would have mean Doha qualifier because of a botched last handover.)

you obviously don't watch the NFL or professional baseball.

What double standard; Gatlin served the longest suspension of any athlete who has managed to comeback successful. Gatlin served his time, what else do you want?
I want the other US athletes to refuse to run with a cheater who has NEVER admitted guilt.

Looked like mostly ‘B’ teams .
There were more batons on the track than fans in the stands.
I was the biggest loser for watching that snore fest.
This was not a B team; however each relay had no more than 2 athletes who are likely to be on the WC team. Gatlin appears to finally be showing his age and Beard has a habit of not running her best when it really counts. This meet had greater emphasis for countries like Brizil and Poland for example. Are best athletes are simple not going be near race sharp in early May when the our championships are 2 months away.

Lost because we didn’t care. Unimportant meet. The only thing missing is “training through.”
I love when Rojo makes a big deal because USA didn’t win a sprint relay.
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
