It’s about a lot more than Dr. Brown.
1) Did any of them test topical steroids on their son to see what levels trigger a positive test?
2) Have any of them coached a convicted doper (Slaney)?
3) Have trainers found IV needles in any of their rooms?
4) Have any of them exceeded WADA IV dosage limits?
5) Have any of them had athletes come forward that their coach asked them to take someone else’s medicine that they didn’t have a script for?
OP,
I like the idea behind your post but think this is largely the answer ^^^^.
But you are right, it was amazing to learn that Dr. Brown became known to Salazar becuase Kara had heard about him from Wetmore.
I think the difference is Wetmore and Schumacher want their athletes to be treated by a doctor if they have a defiency or are struggling. Alberto wants them treated by a doctor when they are fine.
It's also my understanding that Schumacher was uncomfortable by the whole Dr. Brown thing once they started going down there (at Al Sal's suggestion) and then stopped sending the guys down there. Salazar was the opposite, he realized how good it was and doubled down on L-Carnitine. But yes, I'd love to talk to Schumacher and Wetmore about Dr. Brown - I'll tell Jonathan Gault to ask them the next time.
Did the BTC stop going to Brown before or after Solinskys' AR?
But the # of elite runners on thyroid meds at some poitn in their careers is staggering.
Bob Kennedy also was on them.
Solinsky was still classified as otc at the time of his AR, if I remember correctly- i.e. BTC had not yet formed.
