Watching the no sound stream...what was that arms-in-the-air confused gesture from Ngeno?

They gave Walms a new bib number but didn't upload it for live tracking. That's a bummer.
I don't think Walmsley started.
Futsum is the top American at 10k on 1:01:45 pace.
Yeah, Walms has been on TV the last few shots, he's leading the 2nd chase pack with a pacer, he's one of the tallest dudes out there.
Men's leaders picked it up significantly during the second 5k, splitting 14:02. They're now on 60:12 pace after hitting 10k in 28:32.
They've been trading off the lead, but there's a pack of six -- Yimer, Kitata, and Karoki, plus Kenyans Bernard Ngeno and Geoffrey Koech and Tanzania's Gabriel Geay.
Top American is Abinet Adraro (who?), hitting 10k in 13th place in 29:10 (61:32 pace). Any idea who that guy is?
Emily Sisson on American record pace through 10k. Her split was 31:49, that's 67:08 pace. Record is 67:25.

Walmsley is there I saw him in s big pack I’m assuming are trying to go sub 1:04. Tracking site isn’t working for some athletes. Stinson is listed as DNF but I saw him as well.
Sisson on 1:07:08 pace at 10k.
What time is Kara Goucher targeting?
You can tell that sub elite dbag isn't watching the live broadcast. Walmsley is wearing a white hat, blue Hoka uniform with arm sleeves, leading a pack of American men chasing down Droddy's group.
Wake up and watch the broadcast people, stop trying to follow the chips.

Stinson is showing in the tracker though.
Maybe Walms stopped in the aid tent for some hot soup and a quick nap? Kidding.
Karoki to the front...
2:30 low would be solid for her age.
Yeah, commentary is one guy who knows a little bit about running and a bunch of doofuses going off about "they don't even look tired WoW!!!"
Don’t know why I always forget how bad the coverage is at these things.
Didn't Kara's dope domestique, Dawn Grunnagle, run a 2:34 at age 41? If Kara doesn't run that it all comes down to the 4% shoes... Dawn races in 4%, while Kara is wearing zero-drop Altras... what a joke.

Abi Ad? That's Abdi's little bro.
JK.
IAAF says he's 32 and has pbs of 29:53, 67:51 and 2:25:00

Interesting Adraro is Ethiopian-born and married to Biruktayit Degefa -- last year's Houston Marathon women's champion. He actually served as her pacemaker during the race. The article below says he was living in Houston at the time, but on his entry, he's listed as being from New Mexico.
