Also, many of the runners she was running with near the place where she missed the turn finished around 1:16-1:17.

How did she gain 4 minutes in 6k by only cutting off a quarter mile. Not that I doubt you, something just doesn't add up.
Maybe her son was too out of it to remember correctly.

Good one. :) The only reason we knew he was about one minute ahead of her at the 15K is that there was a split timing mat there. Right after the finish of the race, he was wondering how she came in ahead of him when he never saw her pass him in the race, so we looked up both of their results on the website. Right after the race, her results were there on the site and we could access them, but shortly after that, her results were removed. The race director had taken her results out of the race , she was DQ’d. So unfortunately we cannot verify what I am saying.
Here are the facts for this case. I am the 5th place finisher of Snow Canyon. I finished in 1:15:57. I am a USATF IAAF official course certifier. I have run on Team USA at the World masters marathon in 2011 in Sacramento. In this race I ran for the first 8 miles with the winning woman Selina Sekulic. She finished strong at the end with a 1:13:36. 3rd place. The 4th place guy, Neil finished with a 1:14:01. Ashley never passed me. Fact 1. I saw her when I finished excited and another lady was with her celebrating. There was a 5k going on so I figured she was in it. The 8th and 9th place finishers cane in and saw this lady and went up to her and questioned her. The 8th place finisher and his mom knew she did something shady so they called her out. Ashley is the 8th place finishers Aunt by marriage to her Niece. When asked how she passed him she claimed “I waved as I passed you and you must’ve been out of it” (too out of it to notice his aunt in law with bright pink hair) LIE #1. The 11th place finisher claims that Ashley passed him around mile 8 and stayed about 50 yards ahead of him. He witnessed her going around the only turn that required attention by officials. This is mile 10.5. You are on a sidewalk at this point and there was a table blocking the sidewalk and shrubs to keep you from going straight. There were also 4 race officials at that point all pointing the direction for us to go. Also bright white chalk paint with a long arrow pointing. You literally have to push your way through officials telling you where to go at that point. You literally have to go around the bushes and onto a busy road of oncoming traffic with no cones or markings. She claims she simply didn’t see it. LIE #2. I went to the results to check and sure enough she was posted as finishing so I talked with some witnesses that attested to her running off course. I went to Aaron, the race Director after I asked the results table official if Ashley claimed she ran off the course. I also talked to the finish line official I’ve known for years and asked the same question. NOPE. LIE #3. None of them were told by her that she cheated. Aaron told me that it would be hard to pull her since she finished unless we got her watch to show us. I went to Strava and looked her up. It was an open account so I screen shot it. THE DAMNING EVIDENCE.
At that point with witnesses coming over to me and the 4th place guy who was curious to see how she got right behind him. He claimed he saw her come from a wrong turn and assumed the same as me that she was running the 5k route. We then had evidence of her not being on course, the route she took was downhill vs. our uphill and it showed her around .24 miles short. That would put her 1minute and 30 seconds off time alone. By going off her last few miles of her watch Pace. And that had downhill. So the race director pulled her from results. She was nowhere to be found at that point and the mother of the 8th place guy said she witnessed her bailing from there. The facts so far are she was behind the 8th place guy and ahead of the 11th place guy at the turn she went straight on. Mile 10.5.
At this point I was ok knowing the results were fine and adjusted. No harm no foul. I am not friends with Ashley, I’ve seen her at races but never had a conversation with her or met her formally, but I have friends of hers so I went on Instagram to see her version of what happened. LIE #4 THE BIG LIE. She posted that she was excited to hit a 1:14 with running hills at the end. I was fuming! This paid audience of hers that she posts her life too and inspiration to them was being filled full of garbage! So I called her out. I told her to take her post down and stop being self divulging and lying. She responded by saying I was only running it for distance not time. LIE#4. This made absolutely no sense and proved her cheating. I then continued my telling her she needed to apologize to all those she has victimized. I called her a liar. At that point I was going off of emotion and for that I apologize for those words said. I’m sure Ashley is a great person. As shown by her followers that are sticking up for her and calling me out. To them I say you were not there, you were not running at this race or at this level of competition to even understand the destruction she caused by going through the finish with her timing chip on. I think she thought she was the First Lady finisher so nobody would call her out.
She then reposted a picture of her in a different outfit wearing ear buds. Lol LIE #5. She had crossed the finish line with her arms up accepting her consequences of later having witnesses recant every single one of her lies.
THE CHANGED STORY POST.
She then changed her story line in her recent post saying she ran off course. That was the first admission in a day of calling her out. She claimed she had ear buds in and ran by. LIE#6. You would literally have to be autistic and not understand what is going on in your surroundings. It’s impossible and we have a witness behind seeing her go through it. We know it was no accident at this point she went through it by her telling me she did it on purpose for just running the distance and not for time. (That is an ignorant comment which confirmed er cheating) Next as she was off the course, with no course officials even near her Strava positions, she claimed she stopped to talk to one of them. One of who? They were all on the course by the golf course with hills. Not a downhill section of town you were at Ashley. LIE # 7. She then got on course and finished the race ahead of 10 positions she was in and 3 minutes faster than the last guy she was behind. The number 8 guy that she lied straight to his face on. She also shorted the course .24 miles. Here are my times vs. the woman’s winning times to show you the difficulty of the last 3 or so miles. If we shorted the course and had downhill we would’ve easily hit 3 minutes off our times as well. 20-30 seconds for the drop per mile and 1:30 for the short course. These are the facts.
I am friends with a lot of runners all over the nation. This is not a Utah only problem. I had a busy day Saturday answering calls from college coaches asking me what happened. One of these coaches is training Sarah Sellers who has talked to Ashley in a race she ran. I wont get into the conversation she relayed to me but there is a concern for Ashley at this point to simply apologize to those she has victimized instead of going to her paid platform of safe space and crying foul to all of the running community. We talked yesterday. (Coaches and athletes both) and we feel that Ashley should take a drug test and show her results openly and fairly and if she does that we wont bother her again. We don’t even care if you apologize to us if your results are clean. You “integrity” is yours.
If you choose to ignore this test and wave off those athletes as unimportant angered runners then the letters that each of these witnesses and coaches to your cheating will be delivered to USATF for all important sanctioned races that you would use to qualify for elite runner status. The coaches letters will then go to your sponsors that use you as an advocate of theirs for advertising.
I suggest you come clean and make it right on others. Thanks Ashley
I’m certain by your post on here claiming your innocence that this will be an easy decision.
I have screen shot copies of her Strava account before she locked it to public view. It shows her mile times and elevation and I compared it to the actual course. It is in the race officials procession right now as well as a few coaches that have paid over $10,000 dollars out of their own pockets to defend their athletes that are under them. This is NOT a joke. They are super upset and ready to end this girls passions and hard work over.
she is a self absorbed millionaire princess. Cut her some slack, 600 selfie pics of her privileged life, she has to keep her results at such a high level at any cost now that her looks are fading. I am sure now that LR has stumbled onto her mistake, they will dig deeper and find many more
You have been caught. You have apparently hurt several people along the way. Time to cut your losses, confess, and apologize. You'll come out ahead.
Calm down bud, we are talking about serious hobby jogging territory here so no halm done really.
While we can argue which finishers in this downhill atrocity of a race are hobby joggers and which are not, I think that the subject of the post here falls outside of the "no one cares because we are talking about back of the packers" category.
She has run an OTQ for the marathon (although I am not sure if that is a legitimate time or another down hill time - but she is within spitting distance on some honest courses) and, more importantly, she was in a position to claim (someone else's) prize money.

Yeah, this is true and I can't see why people don't understand that.
Everyone who ran that downhill carp race is a cheater.
Oh man, Suunto strikes again, thanks for posting that info scam_watcheroo! I used to have a Suunto X6HRM, have posted in a few places about the issues I had with it and how lousy Suunto's customer service was. It worked great for about 6-8 months, then the heart rate function started acting up. Sent it back to Suunto, they fixed it. 6 months later, same issue, plus elevation started acting up. Suunto refused to provide warranty service.
I would have thought they would have stepped up their game given the increased competition from Garmin, Polar (I've been using a Polar M430 for about 15 months, it's been awesome!), TomTom, and a few others. Guess not.

Now why doesn't this surprise me?
Sad that she does it, even sadder that she has sycophants who hang off every word and believer her.
I haven't really had much to do with Instagram, however I thought I'd check out what the big deal was with her postings etc.
Well, after spending ten minutes reading her drivel and watching some of the videos she has of herself on there, I absolutely despair of how shallow and vacuous and vain social media reveals some people to be. Absolutely cringe-inducing. Especially some of her videos where she simpers, gurns and grimaces into the camera in what she probably thinks is a cute or cool manner. She sings and prances around like she's five years old, which really jars with her perma-pouting, grannified face, which looks well over a decade older than she obviously thinks it does. How anyone can watch that and then choose to "follow" this car-park-puddle-deep brain-dead narcissist defies belief.
Oh and she's also a cheat, but that doesn't matter in Instagram world where being caught cheating just means that people don't appreciate your positivity and are just trying to bring you down, so you must just ignore the negative losers and carry on as "normal". It's a pity sporting fraud and cheating isn't a criminal offence because I'd love to see how that Instagram "defence" would play out in a courtroom.

Please explain to me how the route she took from the wrong turn to the finish was downhill, while the route that everyone else took from that point to the finish was uphill? I certified courses in the 1970's and 80's, have run all my life and didn't realize that such an occurrence was possible.
Plus the fact that Ms. Paulson finished 3 to 4 minutes ahead of people she'd been 1 minute behind, and therefore made up about 2 minutes of time in 2.5 miles is quite amazing.
Personally I think all the false hysteria about the turn snafu is much ado about nothing.
She's been proven to run the marathon times that she's run, which is much more important.
Let's see, a choice between ignorant Letsrun.com trolls, or a woman who runs 2:42 to 2:45 marathons.
### I'm with her. ###
Plus, to all of the trolls: please learn how to use paragraphs.
It is pretty obvious this is more than a turning snafu. It seems strange that in your course certifying experience there was never a course that went uphill to a turn point, and then went downhill.
Also important to remember that people is plural. Only one person was beaten by 4 minutes, and that was explained. Maybe you missed it.
Stand with her all you want. Just be ready to apologize with her.
"Please explain to me how the route she took from the wrong turn to the finish was downhill, while the route that everyone else took from that point to the finish was uphill?"
It's been explained, if you want to investigate further, do so, using that new fangled thing called the internet, FMD this isn't the seventies or eighties.
"Let's see, a choice between ignorant Letsrun.com trolls, or a woman who runs 2:42 to 2:45 marathons."
I'd take the Letsrun.com trolls any time over a course cutting cheat who claims victory until she's called out and who by accounts is also a drug cheat.
Where do her and Heather get all their money? Paid Instagram posts, or just independently wealthy?
Serious question. I totally agree with your analysis of her and I don't have instagram and have never seen hers. But...has she really run a 2:45 marathon? Was that legit? I can't see her running just over 6 minute pace for 26.2 miles, but I've been wrong before.
