Here we go ... ? Another LetsRun 'expert'.
I am not Kenyan, Ethiopian or an expert in anything, but I do know there is no love affair between these two countries. Based on your handle, I am very surprised you don't know that.
Then don't opine on what you clearly know nothing of. As for "no love affair between these two countries" ... sometimes it's just smarter to shut up.
I'd ask you to list the "variety of things" we're "always in conflict" over but I won't, because I confident you'll find none. Again, it's okay to admit you know nothing about both countries. Sorry to burst your delusions about intense hatred between Kenyans and Ethiopians. Not the case.

Ever since I started posting here, I've been lectured dozens of times about my own country by people who've never set foot anywhere in Africa. What sort of melange of arrogance, stupidity and lunacy does that take? What is it about Americans that makes them so stubbornly sure they know everything about the world without ever owning a passport and only occasionally stepping out for sunlight from their basement dwelling in rural Kentucky? Weird, doesn't begin to describe you lot.
There will be no world record. I'll wager 2:03-2:04ish

I've been to Africa. I literally went to Morocco 3 years ago. Cool place. I want to move to Chad or Mauritania. Never got around to visiting more of Africa especially Bekele in Ethiopia.

Easy with the gross generalizations there.
A couple people on Letsrun does not = America. And why did you choose the least logical person and place, that being a "basement dweller in rural Kentucky" ? It's almost as if you (and I quote you here are) are "..so stubbornly sure they know everything about the world..."
Everything in Kenya is always peaceful rainbows and Kumbaya! Well, unless you were among the 50 Kikuyu including women and children, burned alive in a church by the Kalenjin:

As opposed to illiterally having gone to Morocco?

Wes Korir, an actual Kenyan unlike you, quite enjoyed his time in Kentucky.

I'm sure Kenya and Ethiopia get along fine for most things, but wasn't it in Kenya in 2007 when Bekele dropped out of the XC worlds (against a non Kenyan Tadese), the crowd went nuts cheering for his failure? so obviously there is/was a rivalry in running

And I said so in my post. The rivalry is limited to running.

Was it Ethiopians behind the 2007 election violence? Thanks for enlightening us.

i hope he can run 2:03-low or 2:02-something. If he can run under 2:02 he's the GOAT fo sho.
it seems like he won't though based on his recent performances and the new pressure of Kipchoge Berlin race, but maybe it'll all align and he can put that freak talent to work

Lol Mexico is so ingrained in our culture. From breakfast burritos to tacos to piñata's to cerveza's, it's culture is part of our every day, especially on the west coast. Don't pretend you know what it's like here because of immigration issues you heard on the news.
+1
Keniano obviously hasn’t spent much time in the States but likes to appropriate himself some Spanish. The immigration issue in politics is ridiculously disconnected from how Latinos are regarded in American culture by all but a small strata of mongoloid racists.

He should've stayed there. I'm serious.

Does that include your current president? I guarantee you will not find a single news piece of any Kenyan politician railing against Ethiopians or other foreigners. Your president, on the other hand, is supported by half the country. That's a lot of people.

Kenya and Ethiopia are constantly at odds over water issues and border-related disputes, etc. I am not claiming there is intense hatred between Kenyans and Ethiopians, but the national rivalry extends beyond running. Btw, I have been to Africa several times and I'm quite familiar with Kenyan and Ethiopian culture.
Just remember to keep your promise never to post again on this board if he doesn't break the WR or even CR. Can't wait for that!
