Eaton would have beaten Mayer in 2 of those 5 events by only a hair (long jump and 110 hurdles), and marginally in the 100. He would beat Mayer substantially in the 400 & 1500. Problem is that Mayer would beat Eaton substantially in 4-5 events!!

Lowest BMI of a WR holder. I always thought that someone 6 feet with a 22 BMI could break the WR given the right training and circumstances. Close- Mayer is 6'1 with a 22 BMI. I believe we will see a return to leaner decathletes.
