The Guardian reported yesterday that it was a vitamin blend of B12 or others to boost his immune system. Apparently his wife and son had recently been sick.

Are these places really a thing? I had never heard of this before.

Cute, Mr. Co-Founder.
Nice little cesspool you kids have here. Sa-yo-na-ra.

How did Lochte obtain a degree from an accredited university?

“We have a lot of stuff in common. She likes salt and vinegar chips, like the white gummy bears, she lives here in Miami.”
He has a degree in "sports management". UF is a good school, but most (if not all) good schools with top level football have retard degrees. RL falls into that category.
I like the guy though.
I like the guy too, although I'd never heard of him until after he got held at gunpoint in Brazil. I think he ought to post a photo of him peeing on a USA Swimming tee-shirt and a USADA rulebook.

Like I said, had the USDA HEARD about it, as oppose to a photo being posted about it, he would not have been banned.
He probably would have received a warning behind closed doors. I think he was really looking out for his health, and didn't think about getting a TUE, but did an idiot thing by posting about it.
Anything that removes that fvcking tw@t from the public eye for a while is a good thing

Anyone who has a sneaker and a "grille" collection, with a separate closet for both is a meathead. RL always was one, always will be. USA Swimming is good to get rid of him for 14 months. By then, I hope, he'll be a non factor in the US and internationally.

Did he not realize that one of these vitamins infusions was illegal?
^This.
Yet some posters here believe Ritz that he didn't know...
Another point: why did Lochte get only 14 months, when the rule states 2 - 4 years?
It was basically a slap on the wrist for being an idiot ( posting about it). That's how you know the offense wasn't that serious.
His family was getting an immune boost to keep from picking up a virus. Plus, no matter if you like him or not, he is the face of swimming ,since Phelp is retired. They need his american image. Ledecky is a beast, but she is too damn introverted to market. Ryan is a goofball, which is great for television and the media. They can market that.

Normally I would agree with you 100%, however, this guy is such a good natured airhead that somehow that stuff doesn't bother me. It's like a puppy chewing your shoes. Plus he's one of the greatest swimmers of all time. And I like swimming. He also works very hard at what he does. The time he consistently logs in the pool and in the weight rooms dwarfs the effort of most pro and college runners. He's the real deal. He's just a man baby. Too much chlorine intake over a lifetime? Who knows?

My favorite sports radio host Colin Cowherd once said he didn't really do twitter and his explanation was a good one. It doesn't make him money and it could potentially get him fired.
Looks like Rupp was innocent after all. Similar situations, same investigation, one guilty, one not.
Where the f do you live that you've never heard of these? They are everywhere.

I've said this before, but limiting the volume of an IV substance is pointless when the mass of the substance is what matters. Just concentrate whatever it is into less than 100ml of water and it's legal.
Unless the rule is really about the water, which is even dumber. IV'ing 200ml of water is not going to rehydrate you better than drinking it. And yes NOP has done that, but they believe in a lot of baloney.
Nobody is administering water through an IV. Unless their goal is severe hemolytic anemia. Not even Ryan Lochte is that dumb.
Hospitals around the world regularly administer salt water, which is a kind of water.

Nick Zaccardi has come up with the photo in question:
https://twitter.com/nzaccardi/status/1021441665414950912So again, how do they prove anything based on this photo? It seems reasonable to assume that he took more than 100 mL, but a reasonable assumption isn't proof. Couldn't Guido McDoucheface just say "I put the IV in, took the picture, and took it right back out. Prove that I didn't."
I guess your IQ ranks down there with Lochte. If you bothered to READ the article, it clearly said..."A subsequent investigation by USADA, with which Lochte fully cooperated, revealed that Lochte received an intravenous infusion of permitted substances at an infusion clinic in a volume greater than 100 mL in a 12-hour period without a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). "
Catch your breath, read with me..."A subsequent investigation by USADA, with which Lochte fully cooperated, revealed that Lochte received an intravenous infusion of permitted substances at an infusion clinic in a volume greater than 100 mL..."
Again kid, I know, I know reading is not your strength, but give it a try, yes? again..."A subsequent investigation by USADA, with which Lochte fully cooperated, revealed that Lochte received an intravenous infusion ..."
You see, if you carefully read, you will realize it was not based on the picture alone. No problem right? Next time you will read before ending up looking like a derriere? Promise?
I think it would be in the best interest
for Ryan Lochte to appear on the
Howard Stern show.

Don't get me wrong, he was a great swimmer, likely trains like a beast. Point is that he's a meathead, now past his prime and just needs to hang up his speedo for the good of the sport's public image, which has taken a beating in the past several years. He'd be much better off in Masters competition, where he could still compete if he wanted to against former Olympians without the public eye always on him.
