I would think that True's strengths will not carry over to the marathon. For whatever reason, his international/top-level perfomance has been very streaky. Occasionally he seems dominant or in the upper echelon, other times he is invisible. It is really difficult to categorize him as a runner, based on his track championship perfomances he is a step behind everyone else, maybe has trouble with surging or kicking. But he won that Diamond League 5000 by outkicking some good names (Nick Willis), he has done very well on the roads and had a great World Cross in 2013.
