And frankly, watching it with the commentary in Japanese (a language that I do not speak), I felt they did a better job that 99% of the race commentators normally employed for US marathons...

Great run, but I would say one thing and that is the New York course is slower and back in those days then runners virtually had to dodge fans.
But I would say he could certainly set his sights on 2:06 later in the year.

I love Japanese marathoners, they go out way to hard and grimace towards the end. Sort of how I used to run 800m. But I'm lazy.
