Jaeger peaked too early! IMO he had the fitness for sub 8 a good month ago, but you can't hold that peak that long. He was just past peak. Wish he could have done better but I believe he will break 8 in the next year.

Doper wins. Huge surprise.
Jager had tape on his hamstring .... did say anything about a nagging injury?
Nah, if I remember correctly, once Kipruto went around Jager, he stuck right with him but when the Moroccan went with Jager went into lane 2 and lost a lot of momentum. Also looked like he had a rough last water jump which seems to be a weakness of his and a reason he lost that DL Steeple last year against Kipruto.

It was clear from the beginning he was running for a medal, not for gold.
But you can't fault a guy for being the best the country has ever had, for having a great season, for being a favorite and getting a bronze. God bless Evan Jager for making it an exciting event again.
Now break 8:00 before the end of next year. Get a sports psychologist. And starting realizing you are a legitimate gold medal contender. You can run a solo 7:56 and burn their wheels off.
+!.
He has nothing to regret and we should be extremely proud of him. U.S. bronze in the steeple is very good.

Lol! It's big boy time. If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen, baby!
I man up at the turkey trots baby
God bless his soul. Does he feel the power of Jesus? Oh lordy he done taken over his soul. Now he will run even faster thanks to your blessing.
Fr tho
Why are Kenyans celebrating a victory in such a slow race? They were simply extremely lucky that Jager was injured and had a stomach bug before the race. If it wasnt for that the Kenyan would have lost by 10 seconds and watched helplessly as Jager crossed the finish line in 7:55
Ops, didn't know Jager was sick. Did he get his stomach ache after losing? And if he won, would we be saying that the doper won? It looks like every winner that is not from US is a doper
