I saw Ed run the first time at the National Master's Outdoor Championship in Maine back in 2006 or 7. He ran the 10,000 meters and I thought at first he was younger because he had such a beautiful stride and won the event needless to say. Since he was Canadian he did not medal but that was not the point. He still broke the world record that day so that could not be taken back. I talked to him probably an hour after the race. He was such a kind and gentle man. I am embarrassed that I did not know of him until then and since them I have been a fan. RIP GOAT RIP.
