Nothing because it didn't happen. I think you meant outdoors.

4 seconds isn't even close? I've had farts last longer than that, surely they can break it if they really focused on it.
4 second farts make you the farting GOAT. Pretty sure I've had 4 second burps, but nothing that majestic out of my fart box.

What does that have to do with anything I said? The TrackBot relies on Daniels which is not calculating "excellence". It is calculating what a specific type of runner who "who ran xx.x for yymeters can do over ddmeters".
If this thread is about an indicator of being able to break 13, I think the fact they have run 13:02 and 13:05 is a better indicator that they may have the ability.
It's pretty close to the American record considering the fact that they ran 4:00 for the 2nd mile. If they actually went for the record and went out in like 4:03-4:04 they definitely would have had a great shot at it.
Great race and excellent times. I was surprised to see True out kick Hill. It might be True's best race ever, even if the time was slightly below the equivalent of this best 5K. It's going to be very tough to make the WC 5k squad this summer, given that you have these two, Jenkins, Chilemo, etc. in the mix.
for whatever it's worth it was Hill's opener and I doubt they're doing much speed work in Jan-Feb for a proper 2-mile (same applies to True on the latter point)
Not sure if anyone noticed but Ben True ran a TOP 25 ALL TIME for the 2 mile last Saturday.

Well, I agree with Spencer isn't going to like this (because he bums Komen) but:
IAAF tables have 7:58.6 equal to 8:06 indoors.

8:11 equates to about 7:34-5 for 3000m. Pretty solid considering how close the were to Rupp's american indoor record of 8:07. Could they finally break through the 13:00 barrier.
Since he ran 13:02 and 7:36, 3 yrs and 4 yrs ago respectively, I think we all know he can run 12:59 someday. Maybe he will run even faster than that?
But will you start using punctuation with your questions this year or make us wait?

Komen ran 7:24 indoors for the WR.
That is completely not true. True went 4:11, 4:00. That's not hauling and having the most left. That's comfortably going out in 4:11 and then blasting a second mile 11 seconds FASTER than the first, notably with a 27.x last lap. I'd call that tactical. I feel like the race would have been negative split either way, but they certainly still could have run faster if they were out in like 4:04, 4:05.

Not disagreeing with that. Komen still is better than Farah (at time trials)

You are confusing "tactical" and "sit and kick".
If you want to know how much faster they could have run, put the lap times in here
http://timescalculator.appspot.com/optimizerTry it with 400m splits, then try it with 200m splits
Good analysis!

True should set up an AR attempt at the BU Last Chance meet.
1.) It's a fast track.
2.) It's close to home for him.
3.) He's in shape.
4.) He would love to take the AR away from Rupp.
Well, I at least got part of what I was looking for. I don't know if I see anyone running ~13flat on Sunday though.
