They skipped it?? The HS mile is one of the best parts of this meet. That's crazy.

No mention of Montano getting 2 Worlds medals this week.
Courtney Okolo dominates the 500 sets American record. 1:07.34
Anyone else this it's weird that the Men's mile is the only event after the national anthem? Why not just do both genders' miles after the anthem?
Fans of the sport pay attention to both equally anyway.
Matt is not a 2 miler or 3000 meter guy. He should just stick to the mile and 1500 meters. He should not have been gassed like that.
Most of the Americans who competed in rio have looked like crap in these games.
Bronze medalist finished last in the 500 meter race...atrocious. Hastings looked terrible, too.

Adfolder with the win in the HS mile I'm 4:07, got a gap in the middle, hastey and hengst closed near the end but never got all that close- hastey 2nd and hengst 3rd both in 4:08
Kate Grace is giving notice.
Newberry
pretty sure hassan stepped over the line a solid 10 times at the start of the race.
I'm amazed alberto hasn't already tried to forcefully "fix" Hassan's exaggerated arm motion resulting in a career-ending stretch of injuries.
Big indoor PR for Kate.
Patience. He'll ruin her over the long haul.

Ok. Let me start by saying
1) I'm on a romantic getaway with the wife and haven't been watching the meet. I just turned it on for the start of the women's mile.
I may turn it off before the end of the race.
1) The play by play guy seems to be the same guy at NBIGP . The thing that most bothers me about him is he doens't know what a "kick" is. He uses the term whenever someone takes the lead.
2) I don't know who won the men's 2 mile. I haven't watched it or seen results. But Masback's analysis of that race was flat. He said there was so much of a focus on time that Centrowitz forgot to focus on racing. What??? Centrowitz repeatedly said he didn't care about time - he wanted to race.

That seems to be the trend for almost all of the non-American runners (sans Mo) he's taken in (not that he hasn't ruined some Americans too). Maybe it's a plot to slowly kill off the competition.
Millrose record for Hasan.
Yale's finest Kate Grace with a big PB. Equates to about 4:03.4. Outdoor pb is 4:05.65

Kate Grace, fast and beautiful. Sorry to hear she had to spend the night in the airport. you have to wonder if she would've been able to squeeze out another second if she hadn't. She looked pretty tired in the post-race interview. like lack-of-sleep tired as opposed to i-just-ran-a-race tired.
Anyways, its some sexist bs that the men's mile is after the anthem but not the women's race.
Overall, I've been underwhelmed by these time trial off distance races. Where were the real match ups and how can they not get the top runners from around the world here?
am i really the only one who say hassan step over on the line way too many times at the start?
Wilson vs. Sharp is a good matchup. It will be interesting to see if Samantha Watson stays with them.

also i have to say, these interviews are so horrible. I've realized the questions they ask set up the athletes to come off as stupid or with little to say. they need to focus less on being jokers and more on asking something substantive. How did you manage to kick faster than everyone is just a shit question.
