>How many 6'4", 200 pound dudes with size 14 feet break 5 for the mile?
>Most swimmers can't run, most runner's can't swim.
Actually I'm 6'4" and dreaming to be 200lb again. I did 1500m in 4:36 in my first and only try at the age of 35. It's was a dreadful race where everyone entered 4:30 but no-one had ever done it. No willingness to lead and I got boxed in and stepped on all the time. In that particular race I was a bit under 200lb. My fitness was crap though, compared to when I raced mountainbikes.
Phelps may not have the legs though. I'm his opposite, 39+ inch inseam. Phelps is said to have 30", and to wear 32" pants (different articles) where I wear 38".
In all that chest of his, he might have a good set of lungs. If he can go through the 2-step left-right dance called running decently (any sports celeb seems to be able to do a great tango) he may as well power on to a 16-flat minute 5K. I know my stupd body would get close to that if I tried harder. I did 18 flat on a few months of eating no carbs and mid distance training. Not exactly best possible for my old slacking ass.
