So here's what going on heading into the Olympics:
~ Viola Kibiwott barely cracks 17 in a 5k at the Kenyan Trials
~ Kamworor DNF's the Trials
~ Karoki DNF's the Trials
~ Birech is MIA
~ Rudisha gets 3rd in the Trials after struggling this year, all while leaving his former coach who questions his mental fitness publicly
~ Kenenisa is left off the marathon team, then DNF's a 10k in The Netherlands
~ Jeilan DNF's the same 10k in The Netherlands
~ Tirunesh loses a 10k for the first time ever
~ Meseret Defar is nowhere to be found
~ Genzebe is taken off the track in a wheelchair, all while likely either doped out of her mind, or suffering from withdrawal from no longer being doped out of her f*cking mind
~ Galen gets out-kicked by a nobody
~ Shannon Rowbury struggles and barely races
~ Jenny Simpson barely races
~ Jama Aden is doping athletes so blatantly that he gets arrested...and he coaches or has coached: (1.) Taofik Makhloufi, the reigning Olympic champ.; (2.) Ayanleh Souleiman, the Indoor WR holder for 1000m; (3.) Genzebe Dibaba, holder of numerous world records, indoors & outdoors
~ women's pole vault WR holder Yelena Isinbayeva is barred from competing in the Olympics because the Russians can't, as a whole, stop doping out of their f*cking minds
~ Zersenay Tadese looks to be done as a medal-contender
~ Torkildsen retires from javelin
~ Ryan Hall retires from top-level professional running
~ Dathan Ritzenhein DNF's the U.S. Marathon Trials, and is out of a chance at a spot on the 10k team
~ Duane Solomon struggles
~ Nick Symmonds is out with injury
This is seriously going to be the weakest Olympics in a long time.
