Heather has been ranked higher on the national stage. You're foolish not to give her serious consideration.

The only Heather Francis that I can find who competed in track and field graduated from Dartmouth HIGH SCHOOL who then attended UConn on a track scholarship.

Adam Nelson had a pretty good track career. He is the only Dartmouth athlete that I could think of, so maybe there are better ones.

That's her!
Abbey D'Agostino is the Dartmouth GOAT, no question about it.

This is the answer. If you mean GOAT runner, then it's Kempainen. When and if Ben True sets an American record and makes two Olympic teams, we can revisit this topic.

Good lord man, we are not discussing the Dartmouth High school GOAT.
Dartmouth College only. Accomplishments during time at Dartmouth plus post graduate work. In running only, by the way.
Perhaps next time you start a thread you'll be clearer about what you mean.

Yeah it's Nelson unless we are speaking just runners
Jarrod Shoemaker.
Gerry Ashworth, Olympic gold medalist and record holder (since broken)
Pugsley is a favorite as is Terry Stillman. Maybe Greg Anderson.
Oh and Frank Shorter is not the Ivy GOAT. Charlie Moore was Olympic champ and world record holder in the 400m hurdles.
Don't know how Sapienza hasn't come up yet. Probably not the GOAT, but I believe still holds the Ivy 5k record at 13:30
I like True, i think it's him right now.
Abbey might eclipse him when her career is done. She's had some good results and I think has a lot of upside.
I think it's funny when people toss around GOAT. How many f-ing GOATS are there?Dartmouth GOAT, Stanford GOAT, Kenyan GOAT, Reddit GOAT.
Dave Burnham
Mcardle is the GOAT. BHS XC FTW

It should be pretty damn obvious that when one asks about the Dartmouth GOAT they are speaking about the College and not some high school. Especially as Ben True was mentioned in the thread TITLE and he went to Dartmouth College, not high school.
Also, given that this is Letsrun, there should be no mentioning of Field athletics unless specifically included in the original post. I don't care about some schmuck throwing a hammer or jumping over a bar.
And to whoever mentioned the 400 meter hurdle guy as IVY GOAT - please, only serious replies. Frank Shorter is the IVY GOAT.
I would have gone with Bill Cosby for Ivy GOAT, but apparently, Brown has pulled his honorary degree.

Ever heard of Dylan O'Sullivan???
