Centro did a brilliant job of positioning himself right where he needed to be. Another few meters and he'd a lost to that "European Doper" - whom nobody has ever heard of before - please name a few races where he's done anything before, ever? Out of the blue, but then again the overall time wasn't really that fast so in a race 10 seconds faster he wouldn't have been there as Centro would be for sure. So what is it going to take to beat "Old Spider Legs Kickpoop". Last year he was just messing with everyone like they were play things out there! His stride is as tall or taller that Centro height to he's going to have to clutch it on the turn to pop past him enough to hold him off that last 30 meters - probably cant be done though - So Silver or Bronze is the best he can hope for potentially? The new 18 year old Ethiopian (I mean 25 year old) looks amazing but he's still making tactical errors in races. Hummmm.........

2. There is a much higher level of runners in the 1500m now than it was in 2008 and 2012. Regardless. Sure, he can medal without 3.30, but if he doesnt get his personal best down at least 3 seconds, its really unlikely. In 2012 the kenyans peaking was _destroyed_ by the mandatory and ridiculous training program they had to do before the games. That won't happen again.

Centro has a good chance at a medal, gold unlikely. Robbie does not.

Yes, I would expect the 1500 m outdoor olympic final to be a different ballgame all together with Kiprop and company running near their peak.

The "European Doper"... 2nd at 800m world indoor championships 2012. 1st at the 1500m european championships last year. 5th at 1500m 2014 world indoor championships. 2nd at 1500m DL last year. Definitely much better indoors though.

Indoor championship races never impress me as much as outdoor championship, right or wrong. Seems there is a certain amount of athletes that don't really take indoor seriously and focus more on outdoor. It's great US won some medals and Centro took the gold (though I'm not much of a fan of his) but lets see what happens in the Olympics.

Willis ran a great race and did what he thought he should to try and beat Centro. He knows Centro is very dangerous over the last 200-300 meters so he got a nice jump on him and kept his foot hard on the gas. It wasn't enough but it was a good strategy and at least he didn't have to worry about getting tripped or tangled up late in the race which is always a concern.

We still have to see how Centro can do outdoors, but it won't be DL race. He can get through the rounds as easily as any of them because he has the kick and doesn't waste any extra energy. Have people forgotten, he's gone 3, 4, 2 at international championships already. And he's only faster and stronger now, and he seems to have a real knack for winning now. Willis just recently went sub 3:30 and centro seems to have his number now. Willis is still a medal contender himself.

Don't forget, there are doping concerns in Kenya and increased testing. Even if they are allowed at the Olympics, they may seem to lack a little pop.

Never cease to amaze me how little some people know about track athletes outside of the US. Ridiculous to call Holusa a doper.

Centro has already got dinged for testing positive in testosterone. Good work, Salazar, but how long can he keep Playing the system? Serious question.

Having his son piss in a cup, to combat this so called sabotage, should also bear punishment, even though Salazar was using it as an excuse/lie.

Centro is so smart he can jog the 1500 at 8-pace and still win.
