I wonder how many more athletes were using it. If this crap was just added as illegal then its not fair to the athletes that were taking it thinking its just another natural herb or supplement like Rhodiola.
Disclaimer..............this is a copy and paste from a previous post, on another thread on the topic:
I reviewed 192 studies on the drug in question, lots of studies, several on its effects on swimming hypoxic rats, the effect on sexual function of rats, lot more rat studies. A number in humans on its protective effect on cardiac function in the presence of ischemia, in the presence of cardiovascular disease, etc. One........one mind you on potential benefits to athletes, with a number of faulty assumptions and a lack of understanding of heart physiology. My opinion..............not a PED. WADA banned it because they now want to regulate and punish INTENT to dope..............whether the drug in question is a PED or not, OR irrespective of whether the athlete actually intended to or not. We now know that certain diets provide added physiological benefit if consumed, relative to athletic performance............do we now try to level the playing field there too?

This is a good sign for me. Nike stood by lance for a long time even after the WADA report came out. I think it shows that the public tide has shifted on doping. It surprises me as she took a drug that she legally could take until December 31.
I'm glad to see that taking drugs is gaining more prominence.
Do you think Nike would have dropped Manny if Manny was the current Champion and beat Floyd last year?

It was added effective Jan 1. I believe the information was made public in September of last year. Plenty of time to stop using. If it was a legit medical need, plenty of time to get a TUE or find an alternative.

Half wit, it's a heart drug for serious illness, it isn't even registered in the US so she was taking it illegally.
What people are seemingly forgetting is that athletes are under more pressure and Maria probably has anxiety and heart issues which is why she's taking this.
