As I expected. "If that's what you want to believe so be it." But you cannot allow others what they want to believe. It must be believed your way. Otherwise your long follow on explanation (justification) is not required.

I must have watched a different video that you all, because there wasn't a single answer in that entire video that I thought was the least bit rude or unfriendly. This is the video you're talking about, right?

Excellent posts. Thank you.
It is not an excellent post. It simply posts the Rupp fan mantra. The post author is likely one of Rupp's prime supporters: Ken Goe, or one less likely one of Salazar employee-children.

Do you hens ever get tired of squawking about this meaningless BS? Could we save the "OH. My. Gawd. Did you hear how he just answered that question" crap for the People magazine crowd?
Why did you quack in little-duck?

Would you prefer more posts with the Rupp hater mantra?

Also, what is he looking around at?
Nothing. Looking around while someone is talking to you is a classic psychology giveaway.
"In face to face conversation, we often look away from the person we’re speaking with. Somewhat paradoxically, the closer people sit to their conversation companions, the less often they look at them.
"But other factors influence how often we avert our gaze, too. When we are asked personal questions, or difficult questions, or possibly when we are trying to deceive, we look away more often. When we talk with someone via a remote video monitor, we look at them more often than when we engage in the same type of conversation face to face.
"So what’s the cause of this behavior? Do several different causes lead to looking away, or is the root cause the same for all of them? Perhaps we look away when we are feeling socially challenged. After all, difficult questions, or social intimacy, or the heightened social awareness involved in deceiving others could all lead to the same feeling of being put on the spot."

You really can't see that he doesn't want to talk to Dave? I agree he answers, but he's short and keeps looking away as soon as possible, doesn't look happy when he's answering him, etc. I don't know whats going on there, but he was for sure showing he did not like the interviewer. However, I actually don't think there is anything wrong with what he did as he did still answer despite not liking the guy. Everyone is allowed to dislike people.
What I want to know is do they know each other and what's going on between them??
I burst out laughing. I don't know why.
It isn't Rupp who dislikes the interviewer as much as it is Salazar. This is obvious if you note that Salazar was circling like a vulture around Rupp and that specific interviewer. Salazar got Rupp's eye contact and all it took was Salazar's expression to tell Rupp how to proceed. Rupp responded by copying Salazar. You'll see Salazar in the background with a look of annoyance, with Rupp in the foreground copying that look. Salazar is the Svengali. Rupp is his loyal to the death and devoted follower.
Svengali: a person who completely dominates another, usually with selfish or sinister motives.

Just because someone points out their view or belief, doesn't mean they "cannot allow others what they believe". Having a discussion or disagreement involves different opinions, it doesn't mean anyone is saying you "cannot have your view". But it probably means they don't like or agree with yours.
Grow up a bit.
The nikeman guy is annoying.
Rupp gives him the death look, it was so funny that rupp almost started laughing...
And another thing; why does galen rupp need you to like him?
He is not looking to be peyton or aaron or shaq or micheal.
He's a skinny savant who runs. He doesnt want or need to be his own brand.
Rupp is under a lot of pressure. USADA is coming after Salazar any day now. It'll probably come out justr before marathon trials.
I respect Rupp's talent and accomplishments. I don't think he's conceited, but just really awkward. I'm grateful for being a hobby jogger and having a more varied and interesting existence.
At least he can say that he ran faster than Drew Hunter this weekend.

If you give him the benefit of the doubt that he actually has played by the rule book and yet has over a decade of hate and criticism by certain folks and this website for over a decade, all the while training his butt off and overcoming almost everything people said he couldn't or wouldn't do, could you understand how he might develop a chip on his shoulder? Could you put yourself in his shoes and speculate how you might react?
I'm pretty certain if BOb Kennedys time was during the Internet age and he was as dominant as he was and running for Nike a bunch of speculation would arise about him, and the hate would begin to fester, and Bob would be no kinder than Rupp in his interviews. likely even more direct.
The logic behind this post is laughable.
What does the Internet have to do with people speculating about drug usage? People have always speculated about suspicious stuff - the Internet is just a place where that stay forever Salazar's career was long before the Internet was invented and long before Bob's career started and there is way more written about Salazar and drugs than Kennedy and drugs.
I wonder why. Oh yeah, it's the Internet's fault. Not.
I love how the Internet gets blamed. Yeah the internet caused Steve Magness, Kara Goucher and countless others to come forward. Yeah the Internet caused that form from the Nike lab to say that Rupp was on 'testosterone'.
I don't think he likes questions from people he doesn't know as he assumes they may end up being diffiuclt. Maybe he doesn't know who Dave “nikeman†Ross of Rossrunning.com.is and looked at him they way you'd look at a stranger in your house. It's actually a very logical reaction by Rupp.
Yes, he'll sit down with USATF or flotrack and get some fluff stuff but if he doesn't know who you are, he's going to be leery. He used to act very much like that when I asked him questions, then we started having Jonathan Gault approach him. But now he knows JG is with us .
awful interview. guy was a know-it-all twit. it seemed he was just showing off. eff that guy
Strong jealousy of Rupp in this thread courtesy of the typical gutless, no-talent LR crowd.

What a bunch of women on this site. Why don't you get together and write out the whole list with all the reasons people don't like Rupp and give it to him? Maybe he'll take a good look at himself and change everything so that way everyone will like him. I bet that's a top priority for him.
If only he didn't have such a high pitch voice.
And he didn't wear those allergy masks.
And if only some has-beens didn't make a slew of baseless accusations against him.
Then maybe more people would like him. I bet that's important to him. I wish everyone liked me too.
Yeah, who wants a knowledgeable runner asking knowledgeable questions. Questions about training and actual times? Come on, that's SO intrusive.
I really enjoyed the question about the green track. That was absolutely brilliant. I learned green was his favorite colour. Brilliant!

Just to clarify. The first paragraph is about the guy you complained about. There is much sarcasm implied.
The second paragraph is about a different interviewer. The video has multiple people asking questions.
