And at Big 10 they run 9 so it's even worse. If they only ran 7 it's more understandable but this just shows Wisconsin is really struggling under the current regime.

Did mccasy transfer to Wisconson? What for
Different Joe McAsey.
Wisconsin has had a ridiculously bad injury streak over the last 12 months that's taken away all of their depth. And then Malachy develops something three days before the Big Ten meet and tries to run through it. And that happens two weeks after a guy falls off his bike WHILE HE'S JUST STANDING THERE AND NOT EVEN RIDING IT.
In eight years Mick has won 6 big ten titles and one NCAA championship. One bad year and you guys are calling for his head?

Agree. Mick's a great coach. This has been a perfect storm for Wisco. They'll be back.

For 98% of coaches that would be an unattainable career goal.
It is not that they lost. It is that they got absolutely destroyed. They lack depth apparently. From 2000 through 2010 many runners could have gone down and they still win handily at big tens and easily make NCAAs. 8th place in the big ten is horrendous. They are so far away from being competitive nationally it is absurd.
Oh and two big ten titles on the track. I hope the "real" Badger fans out there rally around Mick and his team. It's not the end of the world. Sometimes injuries happen, unfortunately for this team they have been plagued by them. One thing I know for sure, Mick will fix this.....
Yes they blew up, but I think ya'll are underestimating the conference. I think it was really trash for most of Byrne's years and now they'll have at least 3 maybe 4 teams going to nats. Illinois should be getting very good in the next few, especially with recruits like Reiser making an immediate impact.

This. Is winning a national championship not enough for you? One national title is worth it all. And he did it with a bunch of Americans outside of Mo.
As mentioned, it seems as if it has just been a year of bad breaks. Before Louisville, Mick obviously did not seem too worried. Since then Hacker and Malachy have gone down and possibly others and Mick has alluded to some confidence/mental issues with others.
Kromer has a stress fracture in his foot, Hacker hurt his Achilles and now Malachy has an injury. I don't care what anybody say, no team can absorb that hit. The Badgers will rise again
it seems like joe hardy's 'tendacies' from high school have carried into and infected wisconsin. some1 has to put a leash on that boy.

Be gone troll. Sorry that Mick wouldn't let you come to Wisconsin.

Funny bud but I already graduated from college when Mick was hired. He may have recruited me to Iona, but who wants to go there.
So you're not a Badger and your opinion matters why? How many conference or national championship teams were you on again?
Just an avid fan from Wisconsin. So why doesn't my opinion matter? So in the last year the badgers big ten results are as follows: 10th place indoors, 8th outdoors, and 8th in cross. So the question is what the hell is going on and why? why can't I question the coaching? Tom Coughlin wins the super bowl and finishes 8-8 the next year and people call for his job...no different here.
You use Tom Coughlin as an example. Prior to winning the championship did he have 6 years of consecutive victories? You cannot tell me that one bad year (3 seasons) and you're calling for the coaches head! You're no fan, you just some dude with an axe to grind. Us former Badgers (the people who won those trophies) stand behind Mick.
OSU depth is improving but they lack a true #1. Every team save Rutgers & Nebraska put a runner in the top 20. Buckeyes #1 was 24th.
Bradjic loves the sport and has been a great teammate to the younger guys. Figured out what he could do and still got to the line healthy which was a plus.
Buckeyes ran 2 Ohio guys today (Junior Kunkel & Soph Stifel) that started school elsewhere and transferred back home.
Rest of the team is mainly sophomores, which was a pretty nice class . Not much of a freshman class. Top in-state seniors (Jordan, Gaynor, Wagner) all committed elsewhere.
First step to success (or even mediocrity) has to be keeping our more of our own guys.

HAHA WHAT?! You tried to compare Coughlin to Mick?
Hate to break it to you, but the big boys out there, that are much smarter than you, aren't going to fire Mick based on one season.

Mick makes Coughlin look like a coaching genius, which I assure you he is not. I'm guessing your either Gavin or one of Micks other drinking buddies. Sorry but that performance I witnessed today was piss poor. You act like this is an anomaly but it started with the third place finish at big tens in 2013. They are trending in the wrong direction and with today it seems that the mystic of Wisconsin is gone. Like I said I've been a huge fan for 20 years and I'm used to one thing...winning. On what Earth is this crap that was on display acceptable by any true Badger fan? Justify it all you want but that was crap.
