This is one of the all-time classic Seinfeld threads of letsrun.
It goes off the rails very nicely into an arcane discussion about the meaning of "beckoning", with a fun sub-plot of what in fact merits a "MF".
Truly, you guys have made my day.
RCS is shoring up is nomination for troll of the decade.

If Blankenship were clearly out in front and looked back and waived him to pursue him, that would be beckoning.

That's kinda racist man. Sheesh.
Regardless of the terminology, it did cause the Kenyan guy to go out very fast. Ben told him to take the lead. Not wanting Ben to just sit on him, the Kenyan flew down the backstretch so that Ben couldn't draft off of him. That did work.
Blankenship redeems American men's distance running with his gutsy race. No hat backwards, no post-race workout, no divine coaching. Tough Midwestern guy. And good closing turnover.
Didn't anyone notice how happy and overjoyed the Kenyan team was at the end?? They must have earned some $ even in second

You got that incomplete.
Ben replies, "How many lumps?"
The Kenya replies, "Three or Four."
Ben delivers and the Kenyan takes his lumps.
