I was sitting about 5 rows up and always remember him shouting "From Lane 8!"

That's awesome.
Lewis didn't have braces yet? Still a lot of dope in that race.

Don't disagree with anything you're saying, but it looked to me like he didn't say anything to any of the other guys in the race, which seemed like poor form to me. Whatever. Glad he ran well, hope he has a good outdoor season.
Exactly my point. What is the unwritten rule of message board worship for when you absolutely dust the field? Is it showing respect to move quietly through the field you just made look like amateurs instead of making sure you give everyone a condescending "good job bro!"? Are the other runners so insecure that they really need to know that an Olympic medalist thinks that they did a good job and all the fans need to be sure to slam Centro on message boards if he doesn't? Come on already. Centro is just fine. Just let the guy run great and get over all the other bull.
If I ever win I'll be all humble and s#@t
Agreed with any of the others who have said this is fine, and I'll further it with this: It's good for the sport. Want to know why ESPN covers Lebron all the time and why they were obsessed wtih Tebow? Ratings. And why do those guys get ratings? Because some people love them and some people hate them. You want a sport that has heroes and villains. (some of which will be the same person through different people's eyes) I liked Centro until he did that celebration, now I don't really like him. But it's going to make me watch MORE, because now I'm kind of rooting against him and hope to see someone like Blakenship beat him. But that's just my opinion.

Ah, yes, the old letsrun pastime of parsing post-race handshakes to figure out who likes who as if you're a 14-year-old girl. Well, in the video I didn't see any of the runners interact except the teammates Blankenship and Casey.
