Jacob Kirk is probably the training partner from last year mentioned here (4:04 mile at last year's Husky meet and 4:07 in Bozeman).

Said no fast miler ever.
Maybe Bayi or Keino would agree with your unresearched assessment. Walker, Coe, Ovett, Ryun, et al would agree with me.
Youtube is your friend. Watch championship mile/1500 races. Take notes.
None of those guys ran four second negatives, except maybe Ryun, whom everyone agrees never reached his max. All the more recent records are very even-split.Now lets get off this topic before ventolin raises his hypothetical head and ruins the thread completely.

Except Casey never ran 3:55, much less with a nasty kick!
Might be the new college/pro star miler, just dropped 7 seconds in one race! That is the biggest collegiate improvement at that level that I am familiar with, although German's 3:55 as a freshman was a big jump, at least he was already a HS all-time great.
Keffri Neal had an outdoor mile PR of 4:04 and ran 3:58.02, so improved by 6 seconds also.
What's his training?????????
Nice try, but Keffri came into this season with 3:44 and 1:46, and has been a stud since High School. Sorantos has emerged out of thin (Montana) air.
