Correct. And if you happen to be a black man yourself, the "morbidly obese" is even included. Basically just don't be a black woman.

She's just AVERAGE looking.
I guess all a woman has to do in today's society to be smoking hot is wear a tight dress and not be black or morbidly obese.
Girl right just took 5th place at NCAA so let's give her respect for than instead if way she looks.
It's funny that most of you commenting on these young women most likely can't even get an attractive female. I hope that any female related to you is treated the same way that you are treating these girls. You will all have ugly daughters or daughters with low confidence because you are a dick.

If you don't like when women are treated this way, why are you wishing random other women the same thing? Weird.

Why was my comment deleted? I was just pointing out she's fast. 9:40s for steeple is amazing.
Come on! This comment is still here after reported? Not cool.
It's fine to say everyone as a group made some fashion faux pas. Yeah, you should have your shirt tucked in and you're tie at the right length.
But Singling individuals out on their appearance? Not cool.

How can you even judge the suits? It looks like the photos were taken with a flip phone from 2006.
The suits are fine. Someone posted the 2011 banquet link and there are some really badly tied ties in that. Intentionally bad ones.
The weird thing is the photos in 2011 are way better from a photography perspective.
Lets start a kickstarter for LRC to buy a real camera for their events?
A+ for cutting and pasting a dictionary definition.F for understanding it.Travesty is appropriate here.

Post picture's what?
These kids aren't dressing for an interview...its a cross country banquet. Cross country runners are weird. Cross country runners are weird. Teams try to out-weird each other by way of wearing out of style/dorky clothes. Pretty simple process to follow

I asked who she was... Derp answered me in the very next post. How should I "give her respect" about her running ability before I knew who she was??? My post was a compliment about the girl's appearance and yet you put me down for that? What about all the other guys who were making fun of the some of the other girls in the photos?

.
I always look forward to the annual NCAA banquet fashion thread. There's a difference between critiquing fashion and calling people dweebs. With that in mind, here are my votes:
Best Dressed Individual Female: I don't know the names, but #1 woman on the left on the Minnesota team. Her dress is a great color, classy length and flattering fit. I also like the tights because hello, this is Indiana in November, so too cold for bear legs. She also gets points for beautiful hair.

Best Dressed Individual Male: I have to agree with LetsRun on this and go with Dave Smith. I don't know how anyone could or should pull off an orange blazer, but somehow it works. It's always good to see guys take fashion risks. It also helps that the lanyard just happens to match the color of his eyes.

Best Dressed Women's Team: Baylor because Texas women know how to dress. Aside from a couple of them being a tad short, all of their dresses are cute. They also put thought into their shoes. It's hard to pull off boots with a dress, but she's rocking those boots. You basically have to have the right length of legs/dress/boots for it to look good and she does. I also like bright green heels that add a pop of color against a sea of black shoes.

Best Dressed Men's Team: UTEP because Texas men also know how to dress (except for the cowboy hat :P). They are all wearing nice shoes, slacks (no khakis) and look put-together. There were some other teams that had a few guys dressed nice, but others not so much. This team seems to have planned to look good *together.*

I don't want to call out specific people I think dressed poorly, but I'll offer the following fashion "don'ts" based on my observations.
- wrinkled shirts
- athletic attire (at a formal event)
- non-dressy shoes including slippers, Tom's, Cowboy boots, etc.
- oversized jackets
- undersized dresses

Respecting speed and looks simultaneously?! Inconceivable.
