Saw a hawk chewing on a dead squirrel in my neighborhood.
Just hanging out on the side of the road completely ignoring me 5 feet away.

Hawks don't chew, brah. They rip and swallow.
The first moment I ever set foot on the track in Stanford Stadium. I was a freshman and had to climb a barbed wire fence on my first day on campus. I tore my shorts and cut my hand a little getting over the loop. Running on that terracotta oval I can honestly say that at that moment there was absolutely no where else on earth that I wanted to be more.
I also went to Watts in '68 to get a great deal on a stereo at a "White Front" Store and this big van pulls up next to me on the street with a sign on the side that read "The Ike and Tina Turner Revue." And out of that van piled Ike and Tina . She was dressed to the nines in a sparkly mini-dress and stared at me for a few seconds, probably wondering what the hell this skinny white boy was doing in Watts. It was an amazing moment.
And I also bumped into Francisco Franco outside a church in Madrid. He looked and nodded ever-so-slightly at me, french-inhaled his Galois and turned wearily away. I got the hell out of Dodge on the first bus.
This thread has endless potential.
I USED TO PARTY WITH RICK JAMES, GET BITCHES, GET HIGH AND HAVE A GOOD TIME.....
I would say the race I set my 2-mile PR my senior year of high school.
I've never run so fast so effortlessly. I won my heat (the slowest heat), PR'd, and finished fast (a rarity for me) and felt fresh as a daisy after crossing the line. Never ran within 5s of that time again. Have never felt that way in a race since.

Sucks when Mom puts her foot down and tells you that you can not bring the blowup doll to the Thanksgiving table this year doesn't it?
I packed for a visit home last year that I knew would include a funeral. I recognized when I got the call that my mom was not going to recover from her sudden illness.
I wish I had not known that I was experiencing a unique moment in my life but for 36 hours I planned, packed for and traveled toward a funeral that wasn't even necessary until I got there. It sucked to be speeding along a highway at 3am hoping I'd get there in time.
I hope the remaining deaths I experience will be more of a surprise.
First time i talked with my now girlfriend of 3 years
