Nobody here has mentioned ADD. When I'm running and training regularly I find I can focus ten times better. My thinking is far clearer and I solve problems while out on a run. It wasn't until I suffered a serious running injury that I realized how much I had been self medicating with intensive endurance training. I can get by with lower dosage meds when I'm able to run consistently.
