Salazar IS a despicable human being - did you sleep through US indoors?!?!
Protesting every nudge is one thing, but having your mouthpiece write an article about how upset you are about not getting your way is PATHETIC.

it's beyond pathetic, it's morally reprehensible - stop the presses, forgot about Ukraine, Palestine/Isreal, humanitarian crisis in Central America - a sports reporter covered a sports story and a LRC poster disagrees.
Oh the inhumanity??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Soooo...you also believe that all criticism comes from a place of jealousy and that there isn't legitimate reasons to dislike Oregon?

So now you resort to putting words in my mouth and embellishing my claims?
Salazar is a jerk.
Whining when you don't get your way is pathetic.
Our sport is not popular and trying to compare it to current world events is absurd.
Worry about yourself. The world is rigged and UO/Knight rig a lot of things. I've lived in Eugene and Portland. UO was a middling athletic school until Knight opened his wallet. Live with it.
Do you think LeBron paid a dime to play AAU touring ball? No way. Do you think he had to buy shoes as a prep? No way.
Agassi, Roddick, etc., got the best youth tennis training money can buy. Most golf pros come from upper class backgrounds, have private coaches, played at golf academies as a prep. This is the way the U.S. world works -- unfortunately. I doubt there's a letsgolf message board where middle class golfers complain about Rory McElroy all day.
Instead of constantly bashing Salazar, NOP, UO, etc. and saying "sauce" and "NOPER dopers" are common terms (they aren't, they're LRC creations), worry about your own running, PR's, and your own life. You're not defeating Rupp anyway, find your own life's path ... if that's possible.

it's known as hyperbole...the OP is trying to claim some direct connection between a jr worlds athlete that has committed to going to Oregon and Nike/USATF and a protest being lodged or not. that is absurd. Do you really think Nike was directly involved in Rodgers race protest discussion????? Most of the posters on this thread have digressed further into everything wrong with Oregon, Nike and NOP - more absurdity. Just another variation of the "i hate Oregon, Nike, NOP"...blah blah blah blah
as Wondering in the West has noted: [/quote]Instead of constantly bashing Salazar, NOP, UO, etc. and saying "sauce" and "NOPER dopers" are common terms (they aren't, they're LRC creations), worry about your own running, PR's, and your own life. You're mistakenly lumping me in with the klown college, Centro sauce, NOPe troll group, which is all about posting unsubstantiated garbage.
It is substantiated that Salazar is a despicable person, and it is substantiated that Oregon wanted to voice their disapproval of the call in Rogers' race.
How is it "substantiated" that Salazar is a despicable person? Do they do statistics on that?
It's pretty obvious from your slanderous, jealous, low class posts that one could infer you're not a very good person.

Because losers living in loser world where they can make stuff up and talk about it over and over again even though none of their fantasies have any possibility of coming true
Sounds like they should have filed a protest.
Not sure it would have or should have succeeded, plus I'd like to watch the video, but the post states she was accidentally tripped.

Calling a spade a spade is not slanderous, jealous, or classless.
He screamed at Lopez for absolutely no reason. He is scum. My acknowledging as much does not make me a bad person. Your excusing such is questionable, however.
He shouldn't have yelled at Lopez, good thing you didn't play football or basketball, those are sports of yelling. Coaches yelling at players, yelling at opponents -- John Wooden just before he died said his biggest regret was that he wished he hadn't yelled at opposing players all the time.
Not excusing any of it, Wooden or Salazar. But yelling at a person does not make them a bad person.
Your slanderous statements on a message board hiding behind an anonymous name, however, infers you're not a very good person. Give up the bitterness. Work on yourself, your own PR's, your own life.
While you're crying about AlSal, a Kenyan is running and when you meet, he will beat you ... oops, you would never get in a race with a Kenyan, but you get the point. The 10K guy down the street is training and he'll beat you in the Turkey Trot.
"barely out of high school and running against the best in the world"
IAAF Junior championships - not the best in the world nor world-class international competition as you have to be 19 or younger (by 12-2014) to be eligible to compete.
Your statement not quite accurate ... just the facts Mam, just the facts.
Raevyn appears to have a promising career ahead of her.
sleazy was a jerk in the 70's, a doper in the 80's and is a cheater now
was, is and will always be a despicable person
You know nothing about me other than my taking issue with Salazar.
You say his yelling at Lopez does not make him a bad person. I adamantly disagree. It was a weekend that showed his true character, a pattern that Salazar has shown over time. He is scum. All the medals in the world won't change that.
I feel the need to mention it because he should not be a role model. Despite what you may think, it is possible to occasionally post on Letsrun while still finding time to "work on myself".
Salazar does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as John Wooden.
You keep saying that I am slanderous which makes me think you don't know the meaning.
I know that it is typical Al strategy to try to bully me away but your baseless personal attacks aren't going to keep me from reminding everyone about his despicable demeanor.

Glad to know there are others out there not afraid to tell the truth.

Amen, you tell it preacher!! Give us the truth so that we may see,
The crap posted here, as if gospel or scientific fact, cracks me up. Thanks for the laughs.
What an embarrassment to the Oregon/NOP program.
You would think they'd avoid harping on about failed protests after Al embarrassed the whole operation at indoors, but some just don't learn.

B.S., Goe isn't a friend or foe to UO, he's an excellent track and field reporter, something this sport desparately needs. A lot of UO fans don't like him because he calls them out when the university and/or athletic department screws up.
So when in his article about making Eugene the yearly site of the NCAA meet were put up with him mocking coaches and people from other schools that brought up the absurd costs associated with traveling to Eugene for the meet every year, and his response is something along the lines of 'well maybe they need a better travel agent', that's not him being an Oregon mouthpiece? Or when he basically called mike holloway a liar in the comments of that article in reference to holloway saying it takes him 16 hours to get his team to Eugene, that's normal journalistic behavior right?
