Personally, I'm much more okay with the Gatlin being in this race than Gay. Of course I'm suspicious of most athletes in the short sprints but if we are talking about PROVEN doping then Gay is in a much better position to benefit from his previous cycle.
Gay still had his supplements in his system just a little over a year ago and the fact that he is already competing again (and in such a big race) is a joke. It won't be long before he makes up the money lost from being caught doping by benefiting from doping.
I'll only take the sprints seriously when USADA begins doing lifetime bans for those caught and offering potential two year bans as a deal for those who tell all
Confusion between Mo and Meb is understandable. Neither is going to win if a healthy Bekele is in the race.

well I don't think that's true - gay lost his adidas money - that's not coming back. I hope. He'll be wearing a big x on his speedsuit or whatever gatlin wears.
thank goodness shoe money disappears from these guys. maybe some of it will get to the runners making less than $15k.

Bottom line, one of these guys has been the victim of sabotage (Gatlin), the other one trusted someone whom he should not have trusted.
Nothing to see here, there are much bigger issues with Track and Field.
As mentioned before, Gay and Gatlin have both done more for our country than any of you guys will ever do. They deserve our support just like our soldiers do.
Life ban

While you are civil, you are also an idiot.
"the sport"
That is the beauty of t&f, let's take running as the example:
This is what it is:
"You and me, from here to there, when someone says go."
ALL THE REST IS PURE CRXP AND NOT AN INTRINSIC PART OF "THE SPORT"
The fact that various people do various things DOES NOT MAKE THOSE THINGS INTRINSIC PARTS OF "THE SPORT".
To the extent that we are haters, it is cheating that we hate, and CHEATING IS NEITHER A LEGITIMATE, NOR AN INTRINSIC, PART OF "THE SPORT".
Take your head out of your azz.

To the extent xfitidiot has anything between his ears, I imagine it has the same consistency, composition, and structure as canned ham.

Thanks for promoting this race.
I have to see it now.
Agreed.
I hadn't read about this matchup yet, but thanks to the OP's advertising I will definitely check it out along with thousands of others.
Can the organisers please add Asafa Powell to the 100m line up?

"You and me, from here to there, without interfering with each other, when someone says go."
Fixed.
Other than that, agree 100%
