From this video its obvious that he has no real sprinting background [from youth] so his 45 speed seems to be very raw and given without much training.
- block setup not optimal, hunched back
- drops out of the blocks instead of pushing (like any distance guy trying blocks)
- first bend seems already flat out and a little uncontrolled
(- and he uses victories, any sprinter would have sprint spikes but this is a small point)
Im not pointing this out to bash him, im saying this because there is SO much room for development and you can see that he is untrained. Look at any high school 48-49 guy and you see that their technique is far better and their form holds the whole way simply because they LEARNED it while this guy seems like stepping out of bed and straight running a 45' off jog training across the beach with some friends. In nearly every other 800 guy who had this speed there was heavy sprint training before moving up. Take Juantorena or even Rudisha.
