Yenew Alamirew has run 12:48
And Lagat beatEdwin Soi who the fastest 5000 in the world last year and an Olymoic medal form 2008.
If Lagat finished better than 4th, that would have been quite impressive.
I don't know why you think that's a bad race for him.
Lagat is the same age as El Guerrouj, who hasn't run a race in almost 10 years.
