Wow much better race for Hasay this week than last. 2:42 at the 1000 mark alone is much better than last week and she didn't blow up too badly. I think she'll blow away her 15:3whatever PR.

Rojo, she wasn't doping, but please don't let that stop you from being a pretentious know-it-all.
I called Mary Slaney a doper. Did I say she was doping at the time? No I did not.
I do know she has according to the rules of our sport been found guilty of a major doping offense. Hence she should be called "a doper."
So I wasn't being a know it all. I was just being factual.
YOu can believe she isn't. That's fine. There are felons innocent in prison. I'm aware of that.

PS. I personally believe all career times for dopers convicted of 2+ years bans should be erased but that's best if left for another day.
I did agree it wasn't going down, but I'm not 100% sold here on the logic of it not going down because of it being a dopers time.
4:20 is only 4:02 mid pace for 1500m. That's not an unrealistic time for 1500 at all, and an extra 109m wouldn't slow someone down THAT much.
A woman in 4:00 shape or just under should be able to grab the indoor mile AR. That's still outside of dopers only territory.

you have to take Cain ftw
I am really admiring Hasay here - she really seems to love running and racing - she's all 'any race, any time' I doubt she is much of a miler, but there she is.
Probably will be a challenge for al sal to keep her from tiring by summer
Hasey is running better these days too. It seemed like her college career was pretty average for her running some nice races at big meets but never running a great time

But didn't you say that there's no way they run a doper's time, implying that there's no way they could run as fast as somebody who was using PEDs to run that time? Or do you think that she had simply halted doping but still maintained the benefits to run so fast?
I'm confused
official results?

Let's say a top U.S. miler led 1000 meters into a race and split 2:22.5, on pace for a 3:49 and change. He then goes on to get passed by two people, one of whom wins in 3:52 and one of whim nips the guy in question at the line, and winds up running 3:56. That's a solid time. Would you really say that he didn't blow up?
If anything Hasay demonstrated that she can run a great mile if she does it the right way, like Rupp has. But this was not that great mile, as fun as it may have been for people to watch it.
yeah, but Hasay is now a 10K runner...

Time predictions for each of these ladies?
Race is over: Mary Cain Just Misses World Indoor Junior Mile Mark By .01 - Sets New American Junior Mark of 4:24.11
In only six months working with Alberto, its eye opening to see the improvement in Hasay's stride and form. Very impressive. I seriously think she'll be able to put down a sub 15:05 and a sub 31:20 in outdoors.

Looks like Jordan is getting taller? Mary is supposed to be 5'7" and Jordan is 5'4. From this photo it looks like an inch difference.
She is an absolute metronome!
Sorry, you can see the photo on the Oregon Project twitter web. As an old man, my computer skills are not up to speed. I'm trying however.

The post you were responding to talked about her breaking the World Junior Record, not the world record, and she came within .01 of that. Very nice performance, 4 second indoor mile pr, a second faster than the college record!, another American junior record, and very nice progress from the 2:39 last time out. She may just be ready to break 4:20 this year, but not indoors.

Yes, like the guy who retired and then they still sent someone or he did not update him on his whereabouts so they banned him for 2 years. Now he should lose all of his marks, right? What would has no false positives and no administrative or procedural errors and where is ti always costless to correct or fight them.
Looks like Cain hit just about 4:08 for 1500. That would lower her indoor AJR by 3 seconds. Did they time her at the 1500 mark?
