Now the 10k. Jeilan and Tanui placed ahead of him for 2nd and 3rd. Neither of those two were present in London. So the only person that beat Rupp AND was present in London was Farah.
It's not that hard to analyze these things.
I disagree. Rupp in '12 could have beat both Jeilan and Tanui of '13, in my opinion. Rupp was sharp throughout the '12 outdoor season and has been less than his best throughout '13. It's not criticism of Rupp. It's pretty damn impressive to appear "off" and finish 4th and 8th in the world.
